Why are you blaming the council Red? They didn't remove the wreaths. And if they did Monty would insist that the council had every right to do so

Imagine if graffiti had been sprayed on a mosque. They don't understand just how very offensive this is. Well bacon sandwiches outside a mosque got a man a year in prison. Admittedly he also said no more mosques on a St George's cross. So obviously he was a really bad sort and deserved it. It seems offense is allowed to be taken by everyone except white British.

Ref the vandalised war memorial in Rochdale, two people have been arrested for vandalising a war memorial and charged with causing a public nuisance. Causing a public fucking nuisance! In Bristol in 2018 a chap named Kevin Crehan put bacon on the steps of a mosque. He was arrested and charged with racially aggravated hate crimes and sentenced to one year in prison, where he committed suicide. As far as the law is concerned, the UK is a two tier country. There's one law for minorities and another law for the vast majority. Stop press. It seems the two people mentioned above were not arrested for the graffiti, that investigation is ongoing. Apparently they were arrested for removing poppy wreaths. Details seem a tad confused at the moment, hopefully further reports will clarify things.

I think it's odds on they're Muslims, but whether they're councillors remains to be seen.

Are you ready to admit you were wrong and change the title yet? Initially the council said the wreaths were removed because of high winds. It now transpires two teenagers nicked or removed them and have been charged with 'causing a nuisance' ahh bless, little scamps. The investigation into the vandalised war memorial is ongoing. As ever when minorities are involved the police play it down and are loathe to give the public the facts, but bit by bit the facts usually trickle out.

Sad though Kevin Cretan’s case is, it seems likely he was a bit unbalanced if his arrest, trial, and imprisonment was the only cause of him killing himself. It also indicates the likely states of mind of those who want to make political statements by showering others with alcohol and bacon and those who think they’re heroes…

Come on Pat, raise your game.

A spokesman for Rochdale Borough Council said: We can confirm that wreaths blew over during the recent bad weather and have now been secured.
Today it was reported that two teenagers were charged with causing a nuisance for removing wreaths from Rochdale cenotaph. Make of that what you will.

Wreaths laid around the cenotaph in Rochdale have been removed, and replaced with Palestinian flags. GB News contacted the council for comment, they said... ...the wreaths were being blown around due to high winds, but are now secure. The Palestinian flags were put up by children. GB News asked if the wreaths were going to be replaced, the council refused to comment - link
What a load of bollox. What's the betting the majority of Rochdale Labour councilors are Hamas supporting Muslims. This will come as a shock to no one. Monte has altered the thread title.

As long as you separate the two incidents ..... a couple of wreaths being dislodged on Saturday night by the wind (the thread opens showing a video of a Gent replacing them on Sunday morning), and what appears to be the deliberate removal and damage of the wreaths later on Monday by your so called 'scamps' .... then you'll have no problem.
Incident One: The Council did not remove the wreaths.
Incident Two: The Council removed, repaired and returned the wreaths.
Don't confuse wreath incidents with the graffiti vandalism. Hopefully those responsible will be brought to book soon.
