Just wish Cruella would get on with it . She talks a good game on immigration , illegals and now the tent communities that soil our town centres but I see little actual action on anything .
And I don't really care if it is a life choice or not to live in a tent they are vagrants either way and should be treated as such .

The home secretary claimed streets risked being “taken over” and that without action British cities would see “an explosion of crime, drug taking, and squalor”. She added that many of those living in tents were “from abroad”. I agree, she talks the talk but does not walk the walk, we don't want talk we want action, she's been threatening to do this, that, and the other for a long time now, I think people are now getting suspicious. |

You probably just haven't followed the threads. I have made my views and proffered solutions on illegal immigrants and asylum seekers clear very many times. Do you support Braverman's view of the homeless in the UK? But I have done and according to you anyone who makes it to the shores of the UK is an asylum seeker. No that's Orac's Mr Strawman. He's so easy to beat in an argument. Its why Orac chooses him instead of me. I think less than 3% are in genuine need of asylum from torture or immediate threat to life. I think we should move processing off shore. |

Meanwhile this odious woman presumably supported by a pathetic Prime Minister suggests that most homeless people are sleeping in tents and doorways because they choose to. Not fit for office i’d say you had a point but i KNOW our council went out on a limb to clear the streets last Christmas at huge expense and had multiple refusals. Those who refused council help demanded the right to live in a squalid tent city round the corner from the magistrate’s court |

To be fair a lot of 'tent people' are ex-home owners who couldn't handle the pressure of bills dropping through the door, what we have to remember some people are no good at finance, it effects their mental health. I actually sympathise with those who have choose tents over property, I think the gas/electric energy bills put the top hat on it, they probably ended up with no money left.
