Not at all. I've just listened to a report in which it was stated that the car is 'believed' to be a diesel. But as far as I'm aware it has not, as yet anyway, been confirmed. Unless you have information to the contrary?.. A GB News reporter has just said the police told him they 'believe' the car that burst into flames was a diesel, however a fire brigade spokesman refused to comment. A bit early to say, I'd have thought.

A bit early to say, I'd have thought. Well yes, probably. Dappy claims the fire brigade have confirmed it was a diesel, if that's the case so be it, but as yet I can see nothing to that effect. No doubt all will be revealed in due course.

We know already. It was diesel. The sound of crushing disappointing is almost as deafening as when a potential terrorist incident doesn't turn out to be perpetrated by a gay muslim asylum seeker ..... Yes the Torygraph reported the initial fire started in a diesel car. Well done, dappy!

“It’s believed to be diesel-powered, at this stage all subject to verification. And then that fire has quickly and rapidly spread.”
As I said, probably too early to say.

Of course. Not too early for the Fire Brigade to say but not the answer you hoped for so lets pretend for a bit longer.....

It seems it was a Range Rover although I'm sure how they are certain it was a Diesel?.
The video is too far away to show the badge on the back so it is just as likely (in fact more likely) to be a petrol or hybrid. The fire brigade certainly seems to think that part of the problem was the amount of EV's parked up.

You're not in the clear yet Dappy.
It's just been reported on the 4pm GB News bulletin that the Luton airport fire was caused by a lithium battery on a diesel car.

The fire brigade certainly seems to think that part of the problem was the amount of EV's parked up. And as I said, some moments ago:
Even if the first vehicle to catch fire was diesel, once the fire spreads to any nearby EV it still becomes near impossible to put out. The simple presence of EVs is a hazard.

Of course. Not too early for the Fire Brigade to say... Actually it is, as you'd know if you knew anything about forensic examination, which obviously you don't.

One wonders why they were so keen to identify the type of car involved, so prematurely?

One wonders why they were so keen to identify the type of car involved, so prematurely? Oh I dunno, I think some people could see the possibility of more negative press about 'another' electric car bursting into flames so decided to nip it in the bud and say it was a diesel, probably.
