I don't think Fox has caused any criminal damage. He just voiced his support for ULEZ "Blade runners". Just as Packham has voiced his support (on the BBC) for people to break the law in support of misguided attempts to control climate change. They're no different in law - but Fox has been arrested and Packham has not. Surely even you, dappy, can see that this indicates a biased police force. Packham did no such thing. Unlike you I actually watched the program. What he did was come to the conclusion that he personally was now prepared to break the law. At no point did he encourage others to. BTW it was Channel 4 not the BBC. Read your own links ffs! Fortunately Packham works for the BBC which means he can say more or less what he likes. Had he said the same on GB News, the BBC would be complaining to Ofcom. Such is life.

In what world is cleaner air and reduced congestion an evil? Get of your virtuous left wing hobby horse. China has created more co2 in the past eight years than Britain has since the begining of the industrial revolution. Christ almighty when will you outraged lefties wake up and realise that the UK is not the problem.

So in your world, its OK to cause criminal damage to state owned property? Ulez cameras are not state property,London is not a state,it might be in a bit of a state though.

Out of 200 countries the UK is in 5th place for emissions since 1750 behind the USA, China, Russia and Germany in that order. Like most of the world we now outsource our manufacturing and CO2 output to China. It's still our consumption creating that CO2 though. You can try to dodge responsibility all you want but we are still responsible.

I don't know exactly what Fox is suspected of. Is it OK for a "politician" to encourage people to waste taxpayers money by causing criminal damage to public property or even to do it himself? My point is not that Fox hasn't broken the law - I suspect that his comments probably fall into the category of incitement. My point is that the police seem to be selective about who they arrest. They seem much keener to crack down on "right wing" activists than on left wing activists. So Chris Packham can make a whole TV program that's deliberately encouraging breaking the law and the police take no action. But Fox makes a few remarks and the Old Bill are at his door in numbers to arrest him. And I think that the comments that Jo Brand made about Farage were appalling - and she never even apologised. The police should NOT be biased.

In what world is cleaner air and reduced congestion an evil? The ecomentalists like Packham etc are not campaigning for cleaner air - they're campaigning to cut CO2 emissions. CO2 of course is a natural and essential part of the atmosphere without which we'd all be dead. The policies that Packham promotes actually create more pollution, not less. Electric cars are a blatant example of how to poison the planet. Oil by contrast is a totally green fuel. It's nature's means of cleanly storing solar energy - far greener than solar panels which are the next form of planetary pollution.

I understand that Fox has been released on bail with conditions about what he can do or say. Which really does smack of state control as he has not been charged with anything at all. This power of the police to impose conditions on an uncharged suspect seems unjust.
