Fewer than half British black people consider themselves 'proud to be British'The largest survey of black British people found fewer than half of respondents considered themselves proud to be British. More than 10,000 black British people were surveyed for the Black British Voices Project between November 2021 and March 2022. The research – a collaboration between British African-Caribbean newspaper The Voice, Cambridge University and black-led consultancy I-Cubed – covered 16 topics including Britishness, education and the workplace. When participants were asked if they were proud to be British, 49% indicated that they were either definitely or somewhat proud to be British. Of the remaining respondents, 45% indicated that they were not really or not at all proud to be British, while 6% said they do not know or preferred not to say. metro.co.uk/2023/09/28/less-than-half-of-black-britons-say-they-feel-proud-to-be-british-19564380/?ico=mosaic_newsSome people may conclude this is proof that Britain is racist, others may ask whether this is proof that multiculturalism is a myth.

Perhaps those who are not proud to be British could return to their places of origin, but they might not find the benefit and welfare handouts quite as good as here. Not that proud then. Anyone who answered No should be returned to their country of origin, and those that were born here should have their passports removed.
Blair inspired multiculturism was not voted for by the indigenous population, it hasn't worked and it will change our country for ever.

Ethnic minorities living in Britain identify more strongly with “Britishness” than do their white counterparts, The Times reports this weekend (£, paywall), as it previews a huge 40,000 strong Understanding Society survey from the Institute for Social and Economic Research and the Institute for Education.
The newspaper notes that the results “fly in the face of suggestions that ethnic groups are unable or unwilling to integrate”.
Asked “how important is being British to you?” the average scores by ethnicity on a 0-10 scale were as follows:
Pakistani (7.76), Bangladeshi (7.75), Indian (7.68), Black African (7.64), Middle Eastern (7.48), Other (7.03), Chinese (6.90), Caribbean (6.89), Mixed race (6.78), White (6.58).
Reading the opening post leads me to wonder what has happened in the past decade for attitudes to change so markedly...?

I agree with the sentiment, if people don't like it here they should indeed leave. But we all know that's never going to happen. Moving 'from' the minority appeasing 21st century UK will never be a serious option for minorities, a fact that is evident by the hundreds of thousands of illegals who are fleeing the EU in dinghies bound for England. I think only the most diehard of lefties would still insist that multiculturalism has been a success.

I would expect nothing less from British Future, a left wing think tank and registered charity whose aim is to, and I quote... Advance the education of the public in the subjects of equality and diversity, human rights, racial and cultural harmony, citizenship and social inclusion. In other words, politically correct brainwashing. It's what left wing think tanks charities and organisations do.

Some are, some are not but that's the same for white people too.

Your opening post shows there’s a current problem. There wasn’t when my relatives (and others from the Empire) came to fight for the mother country. Perhaps you might ponder that while you gaze in awe at your country’s flag in your garden..

Regardless of the message or indeed the messenger, I'm not particularly interested in the opinions of an individual or organisation who's mission is to: Advance the education of the public in the subjects of equality and diversity, human rights, racial and cultural harmony, citizenship and social inclusion.I'm afraid I have too much common sense for woke left wing bullshit that completely ignores reality. People who believe in some lefty fantasy land of cultural harmony need to open their eyes and see what is happening to this country.

The motives of any organisation that lists Soros's Open Society Foundation amongst its funders have to be open to question.
"British Future is also grateful for funding or in-kind support received from: The Oak Foundation; the Jo Cox Foundation (in-kind support for the National Conversation on Immigration); the Aziz Foundation; Heritage Lottery Fund; Social Change Initiative; J Leon Trust; Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation; Joseph Rowntree Charitable Trust; Global Dialogue; Universities UK; Paul Hamlyn Foundation, Open Society Foundation; the European Commission in the United Kingdom; Commonwealth War Graves Commission; Facebook; BBC; Department for Culture, Media and Sport; Citizens UK; Imperial War Museum; EY; Fragomen; TUC; PWC and the Institute of Directors."

Trust me on this one Dan, they're all left wing trouble makers, including Soros, who against the wishes of the vast majority embrace woke and ESG.

People are best judged for who they are and what they do and not what people think they do or are. That works for all people.
