Interesting to see the Daily Express really piling in against GB News. www.express.co.uk/news/uk/1817850/inside-gb-news-dan-wootton-laurence-foxAs usual with the Express, much of the story itself is probably exaggerated nonsense, but interesting to see just how strongly the attack on a "news" organsiation with similar political slant is. Just a turf war or something else going on? Does anyone still take the Express seriously? It's never recovered from its precipitous slide into the mire after its takeover by 'Dirty Dick' Desmond, Jewish pornographer and purveyor of top-shelf titles like 'Hot Asian Babes'.
By way of delicious irony it's now owned by its erstwhile arch-enemy, the parent company of the Daily Mirror - which may be colouring its perspective on GB News.
Lord Beaverbrook will be rotating at high velocity watching all this.

Many on this forum seem to take the Express very seriously Dan. You are right though. Generally wise to look for a more credible news source to corroborate any story they print before believing it to have any substance. Honestly wouldn’t trust them to accurately report the date.
Interest here is not the story in the Express itself, which is probably at best exaggerated more likely made up and the text of which is unlikely to bear much resemblance to the headline. The interest is just how vehemently the Express is attacking the closely politically aligned media outlet GB News.
I guess a turf war but I thought interesting.

I guess a turf war but I thought interesting. Fair point - after all you could never imagine the Guardian attacking the BBC or CH4.

Is it possible for a leopard to change its spots?
"...Appearing in April 2018 before Parliament's Home Affairs Select Committee, which was investigating the treatment of minority groups in print media, Daily Express editor Gary Jones said that he would be looking to change the tone of the paper. Jones said that he had found past pages of the newspaper "downright offensive," adding that they made him feel "very uncomfortable" and contributed to an "Islamophobic sentiment" in the media.[90]"
Wikipedia
As noted earlier, the Express is now in the same stable as the Daily Mirror.
