The Head of the IOPC that investigates complaints made against Police has had to resign
The police watchdog that investigated the firearms officer charged with Chris Kaba’s murder is itself in turmoil after its boss was forced to quit over child sex allegations.
The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) has been overseen by an ‘acting’ director general for almost a year. Its director general Michael Lockwood was forced to resign at the start of December last year over an allegation of underage sex in the 1980s.

So even the body overseeing Police behaviour is suspect.
And we’re not making this up….

It does make you wonder whether a body is required to investigate the body who investigate investigations! Perhaps the government will announce the Independent Monty Python Commission.

Yes the charges against him allegedly took place 40 years ago It was a rhetorical question. Forty years is ridiculous to bring charges, other than murder.

I can see that now I've delved a bit.

There's no statute of limitations for criminal cases in the UK, except, it seems, where finance is concerned — the establishment always deems its valuables more important than even the lives and wellbeing of citizens.
This is probably why the Great Train Robbers were sentenced to longer prison terms than many murderers...
