It’s rapidly approaching time when the Met needs to be disbanded, all senior officers scrupulously vetted, and a reformed police training and re-training establishment tasked with providing an honest and untainted policing service. At the moment, renaming the “police force” a service, and undertaking other decorative niceties, has so far proved to be simply attempting to polish a turd… I suppose that Serco could take over the job. Or do you have a better alternative? Could Serco do a better job of polishing?

Where are you going to get 34,000 honest and unbiased replacements for the disbanded Met, then, Pat? You appear to assume that all current officers are not honest or capable of behaving in an unbiased way.
Although I have no idea how many of all ranks would come through (what need to be) stringent appraisals with clean sheets, I suspect, and hope, over half would qualify to serve in a reformed organisation.
My thoughts are that recruitment and training would become even more key. And I believe a qualified and trained Met Pc should have a starting salary substantially above the average London salary. And I don't doubt fundamental reform will take several years.
But I don't see why London should be policed by an organisation with so many correctable faults...

I think we should bring in the Jamaican Cops armed to the teeth , and from the Townships of Africa to sort the hundreds of gang members that roam London's streets robbing people stabbing and shooting each other selling drugs 24/7, that should do it , they won't be able to scream just coz I is black in it like  In case you miss it Pat its my sense of humour |
