Those 2,000 people must have been representing the fabled 62% sheeps. That will have been the one million in 2017. After that, they learned that they just have to wait. That's the new strategy, Ned. i really hope starmer wins for your mental health dyno. I dont think your ego can take much more waiting in vain.

Q. When do polls carry any authority? A. When Toejam quotes them. He will be the first to tell you that only polls he quotes have any validity. 90 consecutive polls by people he disagrees with are just wishful thinking. Do you have more than 90 consecutive polls to support your thoughts, Toejam? They dont dyno. What matters for labour in this by election is the vote on the day , as i keep telling you about rejoin mate. you have to turn your imginary polls into electoral successes as i keeep telling you , not take them to bed like some comfort blanket . Toejam says polls don't count, then quotes a poll as authority for his position. How much current indy support do you think will fall away if the UK were to rejoin the EU or even the single market?

further , as i understand it , polls show currently a narrow labour victory on the rutherglen doorsteps . So if brexit is important as they claim , then it doesnt appear to be swaying voters away from labour. I think snp ineptitude , and unionism is more of a danger than flapping gobs about englands brexit .

but buccy you arent making any sense. you told me on the old forum if scotland had of voted for indy in 2014 we would have been thrown out of europe . so 45 % of the scottish voters were prepared to do just that to get out the uk.
Now you claim englands humiliating rejoin is going to stop scots leaving. do you see the disconnect here?
i personally dont think england rejoining the eu and becoming a mere small vassal region of brusells is going to save your uk , but you have to grasp all the straws you can clutch i suppose.
How the mighty have fallen though. 2016 , you were telling us the return of empire was just around the corner , now its back begging to be let back into the mighty eu to stop the jocks leaving and little england being left friendless.
You’ve been eating too many scotch eggs toomy . I didn’t tell you that. i know mate, you didnt tell me that , and you arent a brexiter either. youve always loved the eu , and always wanted to be part of the single market.
bet youve been out buying a new eu flag while you ditched the english one in readiness to change sides you old turncoat you.

Exactly that thomas, they just as well say vote Labour. the area has roughly been a traditional labour stronghold but with a scottish independence undercurrent. I dont think brexit is a major issue sheepy in this by election. If I was the cynical type, I would be thinking that deal in the backroom of the local pub which apparently they would listen too, but nobody would take it up, I might be thinking they did.

The closer the UK gets to the EU the lesser the Brexit argument for FREEDOM! . That may be as hard to swallow as cold haggis but you have to accept it. Chin up and hope for the best but Sir Kier might just have shafted you .

Toejam says polls don't count, then quotes a poll as authority for his position. How much current indy support do you think will fall away if the UK were to rejoin the EU or even the single market? quotes a poll as authority for my position ? Errr ........dyno , i dont want labour to win. You do realise that? Are you now in desperation attributing views to me once again i dont hold ?
no idea. As i told ben e , 45 % of scots voted to leave the uk and potentially the eu in 2014. Current polls have indy on 52 % , so potentially how much of the difference is made up of those purely supporting indy for EU reasons? Im not sure dyno.
told you before dyno your arrogance assumes scots are sitting on the edge of our seats wating with baited breath at what england does , and we are just dying for the english left to use as as voting fodder in your eternal political battles with the tories.
The damage of brexit has been done. It showed scots how worthless our views are when they dont coincide with the anglo majority. Why we need out of this so called union.
Its going to be fun though watching you and your mate ben e selling eu membership to the anglos to desperately keep scotland in the union. i didnt realise we were so important to you , im flattered though mate.

But there was a surge in support for indy after Brexit, right? It can be expected that support for indy will fall away with every mitigation of Brexit, right? So, do you hope to rejoin the EU or the single market?

I don't sleep for weeks after receiving a like from you, Toejam. I especially like that gif with the lady spitting out her coffee laughing. You used it quite a lot to compliment my posts. It sort of went to my head. Now, I've become addicted. I need a like from you just to get through the day.

But there was a surge in support for indy after Brexit, right? It can be expected that support for indy will fall away with every mitigation of Brexit, right? So, do you hope to rejoin the EU or the single market? eh ? There was a small increase in support for scot indy , before it fell back slightly according to john curtice. While brexit has had a mnor impact on levels of support for scot indy , i keep telling you it isnt the impact and be all or end all you hope.
the question though you arent addressing is are enough english desperate enough to rejoin the eu to keep northern ireland and scotland?
the answer appears to be no.
Because overall, the voters of England – that’s Remainers and Leavers combined – would drop Scotland like a hot potato if it were somehow to be necessary in order to secure Brexit. (And remember, very nearly half of them don’t even WANT Brexit. How much must those guys hate us?) Just a third of English voters don’t think it’d be worth ditching Scotland to get out of the EU.
