Don't talk bloody rubbish man. Christ almighty the Proms are broadcast and organised by the BBC, the BBC call the shots, they are in charge. That's why inside the Albert Hall there are two huge signs that say "BBC Proms". If the BBC didn't want people on doors handing out hundreds of EU flags then they wouldn't have been there. So yet again complexity in any form leaves you bewildered. The BBC is the producer and of course supplies some of the performers. The Albert Hall delivers the site and site arrangements which would include the door staff Have you ever been to the Albert Hall? If not you should. In additions to some quite excellent concerts they also do a very good behind the scenes guided tour where as it happens they explain the way concerts are delivered - the hall provides hosting including ground and backstage staff for a fee. I'm not explaining again. See above.

Just go on that tour and learn yourself some facts for a change. The producer is never allowed to dictate to the Albert Hall. You have to accept their policies and their staff etc etc. They infamously told Simon Cowell to get lost when he wanted to impose his ideas on them.

depends which German flag it is... Which flag indeed. Steinmeier has already threatened to ban AfD because they're getting a bit too popular. That for me is a telling question, the EU has never been democratic, the decision makers and legislators are out of sight and no meaningful debate is permitted. It is all out of sight yet we were urged to ignore that.

Is it just the EU flag which is causing outrage? I noticed plenty of other foreign flags on display, including European countries like Holland and Germany. Are they not a problem as well? Or is it just the EU? depends which German flag it is... 'Don't dictate to us until you're marching up Whitehall... and even then we won't listen.'

As every year there are flags waved during the Proms season which represent various countries and movements including the rainbow flag, and some representing religious and social movements.
Why is there such a furore about the EU flag? How can you beg to be included in some of its projects which is of course ever closer union, accept thousands of its laws, do billions of pounds worth of trade, share the same culture that produced so much of the music played at the Proms, allow people from all over the world to be in the audience, and be aghast that some want to wave the EU flag.
Are you now wanting to prohibit ALL non UK flags? Or just the EU flag? Is discrimination one of the new UK theologies?
It is YOU who are politicising the Proms. The whole idea was to make music available to everyone, not just the wealthy, and today that includes the world. The UK may present the Proms but it doesnt OWN the music. Much of the music was written by non British composers. Will you now want anything written by a European banned?
You are coming across as easily baited, niggardly little islanders. FFS get a grip.

I had an enjoyable day watching the Rugby , after it had finished I watched the end of the Last Night at the Proms , if the Rugby had not been on I would have settled down and watched the whole of the Last Night as usual, after this nonsense I doubt if I will watch it ever again
