Well at least we laced the thread with some lighthearted humour It's good to stick your tongue out and shoehorn a couple of puns in every now and then.

Is it just the EU flag which is causing outrage? I noticed plenty of other foreign flags on display, including European countries like Holland and Germany. Are they not a problem as well? Or is it just the EU? The EU is not a country. We can all remember when the EUSSR wanted their own anthem. I think Russia, China and North Korea limited their choice.

Not play all those jingoistic pieces? Any snowflake who is so fragile they can't stand the sight of an EU flag really needs remedial therapy Don't be so bloody stupid. This has nothing to do with "can't stand the sight of an EU flag" It's not a political event you pillock it's a traditional English music event in London and the BBC are openly politicising it. The BBC allowed people to stand at entrances and hand out hundreds of EU flags at an historic English event held at the Royal Albert Hall in London. Why do you suppose the left wing pro EU BBC allowed this? The government have to step in, allowing the BBC to politicise the proms is out of order. You do know the BBC has no control over the door administration don't you? Down to the Albert Hall and wider by local police. So yet another entry in your absurd 'if it's wrong then whatever it is the BBC are to blame' book of bonkers rants

Christ almighty the Proms are broadcast and organised by the BBC, the BBC call the shots, they are in charge. That's why inside the Albert Hall there are two huge signs that say "BBC Proms". If the BBC didn't want people on doors handing out hundreds of EU flags then they wouldn't have been there.

What did folk think about the American lesbian conductor's lecture about diversity and the gender gap? Or about the complete absence of white men except as bit players in the orchestra? Outrageous or what? We were there as Mrs P’s treat to support the Norwegian contribution — my immediate thought about the assembled musicians was how like Eddie Izzard the conductor was. I didn’t count black, brown or white faces among the audience or performers. However I did notice the variety of different flags among the promenades (we were in the balconies). I enjoyed the whole evening. I reckon it’s a shame if others let their bigotry get in the way — unless, of course, that was the reason for attending/watching…

The BBC is the producer and of course supplies some of the performers. The Albert Hall delivers the site and site arrangements which would include the door staff Have you ever been to the Albert Hall? If not you should. In additions to some quite excellent concerts they also do a very good behind the scenes guided tour where as it happens they explain the way concerts are delivered - the hall provides hosting including ground and backstage staff for a fee.

If we substitute 'gammons' for 'idiots' I would agree, though more often it was about Little Englanders. Closer to the truth. Gammon as an abusive term wasn't in wide if any use in 2016. And while it's true that a very few fringe people referred to anyone that voted leave in disparaging terms most and all mainstream remainers refer to leave voters in three groups: a minority of gammonesque strong advocates who'd have voted leave whatever , an even smaller number of devious players and the majority of millions upon millions of those that believed the devious play.

Should send remainiacs into meltdown... Very good, surprised the cross dressing didn't give you some sort of near fatal attack.
