With less than a year to go before the 2024 EU Parliament election, and an illegal immigration crisis underway, what will happen to the treaty change process if there is a swing to the right?

Funny to think this was a Conspiracy Theory back in 2016...

Everything the Europhiles tried to reassure us wouldn't happen, is happening. Even a military.
They were wrong then and are wrong now.

Everything the Europhiles tried to reassure us wouldn't happen, is happening. Even a military. They were wrong then and are wrong now. I remember years ago back in the 1990's the writing was on the wall. A Euro army under the command of the unelected EU was definately on the cards. Brexit blew that plan out of the water. What pisses me off is the fact that we used to have the best army in the world, back in the day politicians openly said we were the best troops in the world, and we were. We trained with conscripts from all over the EU and we were always told we must not shout at them. Trust me, being on excercise has to be dangerous, it was training for war and there used to be an acceptable number of excercise deaths depending on how big the excercise was. It's the name of the game, if you don't want to go to war, dont join the army, or indeed the Navy or RAF.

'She’s pushing her OWN agenda' Fury rises in Europe as Von Der Leyen vies for second term
Fury is growing in the EU, as Ursula von der Leyen is vying for a second term in office as President of the European Commission.
Hungrary has increasingly been at loggerheads with Von Der Leyen, with President Victor Orban accusing her of "pursuing her own agenda".
While Von der Leyen is thought to be the frontrunner to secure the nomination for another year as President of the European Commission, Orban is hoping to secure a right wing majority and oust the EU chief.
The bloc will go to the polls in less than a year.

The way the Commission are appointed is absurd. It should be voters choosing them and picking the head of the body.
