Lefties whine about low pay then want to import cheap labour …… Not I But leaving the EU meant problems for UK farmers, do you wish to deny that? Believe me it depends on the farmer. If you think Brexit was universally unpopular with farmers or that Brexit has created problems for all farmers, you're wrong. And you probably know that, but because you're diametrically opposed to Brexit you will never admit it.

If the Tolpuddle Martyrs had been around in the 2000's they'd simply have been replaced by Eastern Europeans and called "lazy" and you know it.
The problem with free movement of people was the use of it to suppress wages.
Decent employers can still get the staff.
Crap ones have felt the pinch. I have no sympathy for them.

Weaning employers off if boatloads of poor migrants as cheap labour will always be a problem . perhaps not a problem for the employees who can command a higher wage .

Excuse me for believing the NFU with a proper survey were better able to get the sector wide position. Those who actually read and can understand simple English know no one claimed there weren't a few farming winners.

And that's the problem, or a large part of it. Some farmers particularly fruit farmers became used to housing dozens of migrants on site in caravans or what were little more than sheds. For some farmers it was a very profitable arrangement. For the record, my uncle was a farmer, now retired, and he hated the EU more than me. That's pretty special.

Steve honestly, you're a laugh.

The lack of staff problems will be solved either by technology, innovation , training or even ( shock horror) importing specific labour from abroad . Whatever the solution , if a solution is found , it will be one more reason not to rejoin the EU .

Well everyone with an IQ over 60 probably does so maybe you don't qualify
