I've already explained why many won't be fooled by the advertising (not facts) of a digital currency by the body that would like it implemented. This seems hard for you to grapple with.

You haven' even understood the basic facts here. All you've done is fall for the views of a snake oil salesman who GB News have gleefully parroted, It's not about whether a digital currency comes to being, FFS we effectively already have those in our bank accounts, it's your OP accusation that we won't be allowed any other currency. Grade A bulshit that is.

You are inventing stories now, nobody has stated in the OP that people won't be allowed to use any other currency. You need to stop lying and making up invented arguments.
However, that doesn't mean though, other currencies in the future won't be faised out.
We do live in extreme times, and these are valid concerns whether you like it or not.

So you say you didn't post this? Sure looks like you did The European Union's plan for a virtual currency has been dubbed a "digital dictatorship", as the bloc looks at centralising the way cash is handled. A digital Euro would see all currency managed by a central bank in digital form. . . .

While you're typically playing pedantry with words and phrases as you usually do, you cannot counter the crux of the issue which are the legitimate concerns about onward privacy and control issues. Something far more important than your silly little game here.

Look Buccanneer you were wrong. The body of the rest of your OP was also on that false 'all currency' line. And typically your reaction to being wrong is to dig in and then attack the messenger. Ho hum.

There is nothing wrong in having a legitimate concern. You don't seem to understand this.
And yet, the only thing you have done on this thread is attack the messenger on points of sophistry that fail to ease any legitimate concerns people will undoubtely have over this. Never mind the lack of democracy this initiative has taken.

Absolute nothing wrong in having concerns, everything wrong in using fake news to perpetrate them as you continue to do

This site has no rule about Fake News a policy which suits some people very well So you'll just have to put up with fake news being pointed out for the deluded sometimes malicious bollocks it is. Example: The European Union's plan for a virtual currency has been dubbed a "digital dictatorship", as the bloc looks at centralising the way cash is handled. A digital Euro would see all currency managed by a central bank in digital form. . . .

Since cash already makes up a tiny proportion of transactions, Europeans already live with a digital system. Any bank can trace where you have spent money.
Must have been a slow news day on GB News, so they make up an angle that suits their purpose. Used to be called "project fear".

The USSR was a Communist state with state owned industries. The EU is a market based political union with capitalism. It may not be very democratic, and I'm not a fan of it, but at least we were able to leave it without having a war.

EG I have money in two separate banks and three savings accounts with other institutions and all is in effect just digital money. And that's the key point, the OP was c&p an idiot somewhat malicious conspiracy theory that the EU would demand total control of all money. There is no such plan just a study into adding another available system to parallel the others.

But you carry on getting hung-up about two words in an article, let others discern the information for themselves without your troll like techniques trashing threads.
