It's a similar story every year with steam rallies, airshows and the tens of thousands who flock annually to climb up Helvellyn Personally I wouldn't say much about people relaxing and having an enjoyable day out, or some might see it as an opportunity to turn up rob everyone and probably start stabbing them. That's a very good point. Additionally, there is also the possibility some arm of government might find an excuse to ban the activity.

Cricket themed calypso is 100% Caribbean. LOL. You asked what ''we have to thank Caribbean culture for''. We have music which is, after language, one of the biggest cultural influencers out there. Notting Hill is a celebration of the unique music of the Caribbean. The annual campaign to discredit it as a hotbed of crime get's weaker year on year as the arrest figures fall.

I wonder how many shootings, stabbings, muggings and robberies will be reported this year? If there aren't any I am sure that you will invent a few

I have been to the Carnival The first Carnival was took place in St Pancras Town Hall, in response to racial tensions between white and black youths fights were common, the worst out break of violence happened in 1976 when carnival goes attacked the Police, many were injured hits by bottles and stones. You may think the numbers of arrests is falling and the crime rate is falling at carnival but the problem is Police are totally outnumbered they cannot get though the crowd and when they try very often they get attacked, last year on the Monday over 70 Officers were injured some had knife wounds. Yesterday there were 85 arrests in total including 18 for drugs, 11 for sexual assault, 26 for possession of an offensive weapon and 10 alleged assaults on police officers, today there will be more IMO, the gangs will arrive today tooled up same as last year one man was murdered. Crime are also committed on the fringes of the carnival on the tubes British Transport Police made 60 arrests last year for robberies assaults that is why the Police tell women not to wear jewellery or carry handbags. Wholesale Drug Dealing goes with Carnival , so does Gang Fights , last year there were skip loads of Nitrous Oxide the idiots inhale. If it was a mainly white carnival it would probably have been banned years ago, but as its not it won't be if they tried there would a riot.

Well maybe it is. Look, here’s the thing. The tiny jurassic coast town of Swanage is flooded with people about twelve weekends a year. And i mean there isn’t a hotel room, B&B bed, tent pitch, caravan spot or RV parking space to be had for miles. The streets are filled with drinkers going from venue to venue and the pubs are overflowing. These are the weekends of the two Blues Festivals, the Jazz weekend, the Folk Festival, the Fish Festival… i could go on. I go to one, sometimes two of these a year and for fifteen years straight the only work the police on duty have to do is direct participants to the various lesser known venues and again over the last 15 years paramedics have been called to two road accidents nowhere near the venue, one drowning rescue where some idiot walked up a pitch black road at half past midnight missed his footing and fell in the bloody river that flows through the town. I know because it was ME who fished the idiot out and restored the airway and called tbe paramedics to take him off to check for secondary drowning as there was water in the airway…. I’m ashamed to say much mugging goes on. And i’m one of the muggers. On the Folk Festival gangs of Morris dancers go from pub to pub relieving honest drinkers of their change to ‘donate’ to Prostate Cancer, Diabetes UK etc etc, and on Blues weekends i tramp the streets for the charity Steve Darrington’s supporting, threatening to busk if they don’t pay up. No it’s not on the same scale but that’s not the point. No one goes to these to commit crime. No One. in stark contrast Notting Hill gas an unenviable record It's a similar story every year with steam rallies, airshows and the tens of thousands who flock annually to climb up Helvellyn indeed it is There is a Jazz and Fringe Festival in Brecon. It was two weeks ago. I didn’t plan to attend because i was busy and as it turned out this year it was a drownfest thanks to the rain so i’m glad i gave it a miss But it’s another example of thousands of people on tbe streets of a town. Dozens of butchers and other food stores set up barbecues in the street. Three BREWERIES set up Marquees in the street. Trailer cocktail gin rum and Prosecco sellers line the main street srling takeaways. It’s a mini glasto without the insane entrance fees and no woke politicians or the BBC. And the only ‘trouble’ i know about was when jools holland’s venue changed the entry doors last minute, caused a bit of a flap and some people tripped and pushed over one of those trade rubbish bin things.

The annual Notting Hill stabfest costs more than £6 million to police, yet every year we get headlines like this: "The Metropolitan Police has said that the final day of Notting Hill carnival was 'marred by serious violence' after eight people were stabbed in one night."Maybe it's a cultural thing?

Surprised? This is either affirmation of society's wonderfully diverse cultural enrichment indoctrination, or the fault of whitey due to colonialism. Take your pick.

You do realise that we could have our bank accounts closed just for talking about this?
The British used to be a fiercely independent warrior race that didn't put up with any shit. Look at us now.
