Borchester doesn't take kindly to moderators or pseudo-mods and has stuck two fingers up by starting another duplicate Khalife thread about cycling on the tow path. There's no rule against it, nor against OCD pedants proliferating, apparently. Couldn't the threads on ULEZ just be merged into one? As it seems a topic that is in the hearts of so many after all. Why? Brexit and Islam get introduced into as many threads those bright/devious enough to do so can manage… |

Sadiq Khan's Ulez expansion will add just 13 minutes to the average life expectancy, research has revealed. Research conducted by the Mayor's own team found the scheme's impact will be “minor” and “negligible”.It predicts that there will be just 1.3 per cent reduction in the average Londoner's exposure to nitrogen dioxide (NO2). The data also concluded that the scheme will add just 13 minutes to the life expectancy of a Londoner in 2023. Averages are always useful to decry actions or policies the decryer disagrees with. But 9 million, 4.5 million, or even a couple of hundred thirteen “minuteses” could make a significant difference to someone afflicted with lung disease. Feel lucky you don’t consider you or yours are affected… Wrong guess my daughter suffers from asthma nearly lost her more than once when she was very young , two of my grandchildren are also asthmatic, three of my wife's family are asthmatic and they live in remote areas of Ireland with very clean air |

Different people are affected by different triggers. The ultimate aim of ULEZ seem sensible — even if it is only a small step to lessening health-threatening pollution — but its introduction should have been better planned to get more support… |
