Sadiq Khan looks set to become embroiled in yet another race row.
His office has issued a style guide 'Look Book — Mayor of London Brand Guidelines' which includes a photo of a young white family beside the Thames. The guide says the photo should not be used when promoting Khan or the GLA, since the family 'doesn't represent real Londoners'.
Evidently the guidelines are designed to give advice on showing the mayor in the best light and say official photos “should reflect a recognisable, real and diverse London”.
Evidently the photo and caption were hastily removed last night after a report in the Mail on Sunday, but calls are emerging for Khan to apologise and to punish the racists responsible.

I'd have thought the Mr Khan Haters would be happy.
After all - aren't we forever being given the old line that "London just ain't London any more - you hardly ever see a white face!"

It's very rare that you get a glimpse of what happens behind the curtains but on this occasion we have.
Imagine the witch-hunt that would have ensued if the roles had been reversed.

At times like this it is nostalgic to remember the Kray twins, Ronnie and Reggie would put him right quick as that, probably nail his ears to the floor for good measure. Khan may think that London is another Calcutta, but it isn't yet. Fucking bloke.
