I am not going to pretend that I am excited by Labour and Starmer although given the utter shambles the Tories have become, I much prefer them t the status quo. Any opposition party is by definition not in power and hence largely unable to influence events now nor control what they will inherit if they get elected. Any plans now can only be dependent on what the economic and social situation is at the next election. We'll see in time what Labour's manifesto is and if as seems likely they form the next government whether they deliver some or all of those plans. The only reason the Tories have become a shambles is because they are no longer Conservative. They have been moving to the centre ground ever since Cameron's coalition with Rodders, and other than Truss, recent Tory prime ministers have been anything but Tory. I tend to agree — but you have to admit that the shambolic Tory delivery of Brexit assurances is achieving the Churchillian promise of blood, toil, tears and sweat for the bulk of the UK's population.
The One Nation Tory credo that first inspired me at uni to question my family's unwavering support for Labour and to turn to the Conservatives, has been suppressed for so long, I'm now doubting it still exists...

I'm not entirely sure what you mean by "the shambolic Tory delivery of Brexit assurances", I agree Mrs May, Boris and Sunak in spite of populist Brexit rhetoric were in actual fact, less than keen on Brexit and I Know Truss was a remainer back in 2016 but she did seem to go through something of a Damascene conversion and became an ardent Brexit supporter. I don't believe this was political expediency, I think given the chance Truss could have become a giant among Conservative prime ministers, dare I say another Thatcher.

Truss's child-like delivery of her 2014 Conference speech exhorting the country to eat more British cheese and saying she was about to open up British pork markets in China should have sunk any bid for advancement then.
Her destruction of the UK economy during her 45 days as PM proves that...
