Apologies no link as yet. Just listening to a report about an illegal immigrants boat either sinking or in difficulties in the channel and the Dover lifeboat was despatched to rescue them and bring them to England. The thing is, this incident happened just off the French coast, about four miles off Sangat apparently which is obviously well inside French waters! What the fuck is going on? We'll be sending ferries for the criminals next.

More on this story currently being reported on GB News: at approx 5am this morning the French authorities informed Dover RNLI that c50 illegals were in the water just off Sangat, the Dover RNLI immediately responded by travelling to the French coast to pluck the illegals from the sea, presumably as the French coastguard looked on.

If this is true ( and I’m not doubting you) it is disgraceful,nobody wants to stand by and see people die the rule of the sea is that you let no one perish like that so why aren’t the French who are closer doing so. I expect a shouty brexit is a shambles person will be along to post half intelligible rubbish about what a set of bastards we are and totally ignoring things like this and the conditions these people exist in in the wonderful confines of France. She is obviously proud of France and the eu whilst running down this country at every opportunity,if the UK is so bad why doesn’t she give up one third of her citizenships and do us all a favour. |

A human being has drowned in the Channel this morning.
Rescue boats from both France and the UK and French helicopters attended and many lives were saved.

If said 'human being' had not paid a criminal to get to England he wouldn't have drowned. I wonder why the French authorities contacted Dover RNLI over an incident that happened just off the French coast? And apparently some of the illegals needed hospital treatment, the closest hospitals were obviously in France but for some reason the criminals were ferried across the channel to England! I wonder what the reaction of the French authorities would be if the UK coastguard alerted them to an incident a couple of miles off Dover? |

According to the Guardian this was one of 'dozens' of boats that attempted the crossing last night.
Looks like the smugglers may have opted for the Blitzkrieg strategy in order to overwhelm the French, hence the alleged appeal to the UK for assistance.
PS it seems migrants rescued by the RNLI were brought to Dover, not returned to France.

Quite possibly, but why were they ferried to England? Apparently some of them needed urgent hospital treatment and although the French coast was just five minutes away they were brought to England. Why? Btw, apparently five drowned. Will this serve as a lesson for illegals not to make the crossing? Not a snowballs chance in hell. The French authorities will still look the other way. |

And we are still paying the French millions of pounds for nothing, yesterday we saw a French Navy vessel shepherding a migrant boat into our waters, today we are rescuing sinking migrants from French waters and bringing them here for us to pay for and look after.
This is now bordering on a state of emergency, once Ricky gets back from holiday of course. The tories deserve to lose every seat in the election. I have seen that Simon Hoare the Conservative MP for North Dorset joined in with Labour to vote down leaving the ECHR, I really hope he gets slung out
