Roberto Saviano, the mafia expert, has described London as the most corrupt place on the planet. The investigative journalist made his name by exposing the practices of the infamous Camorra clan centered in the Italian city of Naples.
Saviano is now turning his sights on the British capital, which he described over the weekend as the center of an international network of bribery and crime.
The UK has fallen sharply down the global corruption league table after a report warned of “woeful inadequacies” in upholding political integrity.
Britain fell seven places to 18th on Transparency International’s corruption perceptions index, representing the biggest fall among the G7 countries.

No wonder the latest polls are looking dire for the tories at the next election , with predictions of defeat that bad its predicted to eclipse the conservative losses of 1997 by a country mile.

Fair point, all politics is full of sharks and con men and woman, or they don't get anywhere near the top, maybe because the real power couldn't pull their strings when needed. |

The EU are more interested in expanding their powers than delivering value for money to taxpayers. They should be rooting out corruption, but instead are trying to build an EU military.
And that provides more opportunities for corruption. Cronyism. The awarding of contracts based on lobbyists.
It's a very dodgy organisation.
