It cost us £9.5 billion (post rebate) at the time of the referendum to be in which adjusting for inflation would be £12.4 billion today.
For that we got a crap Common Agricultural Policy. A crap Common Fisheries Policy. A crap immigration system based on passports rather than skills and means and lack of criminal records. A crap customs framework. Some very very odd and unnecessary regulations. It contributed to the overvaluation of our currency and reduced exports.
It was a political straitjacket.
We'd have to be mad to go back.

So what have we gained?
1) Political unions are a step away from one world government and should always be opposed. 2) Our politicians are now answerable only to us. The EU excuse has gone. 3) Freedom from EU bureaucracy. 4) Pay and conditions have improved for many workers now that cheap foreign labour is less available. 5) We are now free to pursue trade deals that benefit us. 6) We are no longer subsidising the EU.
There will be many more.
Brexit was never intended to be an instant fix and the full benefits will take decades to establish, but they are there and we are pursuing them one step at a time.

I see i am going to have to get more training in those whose comprehznsion of reality is so limited. Look mate. If your very large trading partner decides to change the regulations around its trading conditions, THEY ate pulling YOUR strings. You lost your voice in making those regulations. How does that not still control you? As for one world, get off TikTok and its conspiracy theories. Though i have to laugh since the UK has this very year joined the biggest trading group in the world. Your trade deals?? Those which have done more damage to UK farmers than any other deals ever done by the EU. There is no reason to make MORE trade deals. You took 80 plus with you when you left and the rest of trade is done through WTO agreements. HOW MANY TIMES DO YOU HAVE TO HAVE THIS POINTED OUT? Repeating misinformation doesnt change reality . Now what actual ( existential) benefits have resulted from leaving the EU? Not possibilities, not in theory.. But in actual events. What HAVE you as a country done that you could not do while in the EU? BTW pay has gone up all over Western Europe. It is because of inflation and is a direct result of Covid and Ukraine. As for fewer workers, that has foeced dozens if not hundreds of businesses to go out of business. It is estimated that you need at least one million more working peopke, particularly in health care and the care sector. So no, it isnt a benefit.

...let's ask a more pertinent question: What did we (as in the everyday person in their everyday lives) lose? And the answer for me is: Nothing. I can't tell the difference pre and post Brexit. Most people can't. So what did the EU do for us? Absolutely nothing.
Now, I realise that you have serious anxiety over Brexit but most of us in the UK simply aren't feeling it.
In the same way that we didn't feel your theoretical benefits while we were part of the EU.
Sadly for you, your beloved EU is irrelevant to most of us.

THEN SHUT UP ABOUT IT!!
If yiu cant tell the diffzrence between pre and post Brexit, why do ypu and this small rump of Leavers continue to defend it? All those promises, dreams, teasers, possibilities, lies and red meat got you what? Nothing.

Brexit is the only event I can think of where history is written by the losers. Indeed.. History will see they were correct. And that the conned and deceived winners caused the decline of the UK'S demise. Now stop talking in prophetic terms and discuss the here and now. I have asked you practcal questions. What is better about the UK now you left and why do you want to crawl back little by little. FFS answer the questions and stop the bullshit pre 2026 lies. How is your border more secure? How is your food cheaper? Your economy better? How is your trade deals wirh Eastern countries better than those with the EU? What the idea did was allow the most inane corrupt PM ever to have not only lost his position in the shortest recordable time not compared to a lettuce but also his local representative status. And become an international joke. The EU isnt bitter. It just doesnt give a fuck. You arent importanr enough to spend time bothering about. What proof do you have that the EU gives a damn what you do??? Nope. There will be a permanent white noise of whining ex leavers for a decade or two telling us how wonderful the EU was and how wonderful the EU is without us. Stop posting like a bitter old school ma’am who has lost control of a rowdy class. low paid workers do not have to compete with hordes of East Europeans to find a job . That’s worth a rich bitch whining about being unable to find a ‘ plumber’ and an hotel having to pay more for locals to make the beds. The sky hasn’t fallen in Kim. That’s what really got up your nose .

I have used several plumbers , I’m registered with a GP and a dentist. There is a shortage of carers because carers are not paid well . The answer is not to ship in hordes of foreign workers Kimmy. Don’t pretend that you give a fuck about the old and vulnerable in the UK.

Delusion is strong with remoaners. There are plenty of plumbers, builders, electricians, carpenters, and dentists.
Speaking of dentists I have an appointment this week which I had no problem in getting.

I am fortunate enough to be a citizen of two countries. And by the way pay taxes in two. You are unfortunately culturally and mentally arrested on your small island. Now stop the stupid comments you make when you have nothing of any earthly use but want to ensure you are still breathing by squeaking. OK, you ask what we gained from Brexit. But let's ask a more pertinent question: What did we (as in the everyday person in their everyday lives) lose? And the answer for me is: Nothing. I can't tell the difference pre and post Brexit. Most people can't. So what did the EU do for us? Absolutely nothing. In fact, they were much worse than the Romans. They gave us straight roads, not straight cucumbers.

I leave that to the nutty remnants and foreigners who are still perma butt-sore 7 years on.
