You're still on ignore but you've boosted my post and helped me to make the point that the EU is a Commission run mess. It simply does not work. It never has. We were dragged out of the EEC and into the EU by John Major in the 1990's without a referendum, and our industries declined whilst we were in whilst living costs soared. You're best off ignoring it. Now to the thread. The EU was conceived to act as a voluntary unified trading unit.
To accuse it for being what it was intended to be is simultaneously ignorant and stupid.
If you dont like the EU's trade deals which the UK has approved, the UK is quite free to leave them.
And if the EU is bitter about ypur leaving, it would not be allowing you back into Horizon, France would not allow your border control to be stationed on their beaches and the UK would be denied the benefits of the trade deals discussed above. You would need a visa to enter every country within the EU, be denied ANY access to the tracking of criminals in the EU, check every item that enters the EU including in Rotterdam, so backing up your roads from Dover and airports as far back as Northampton.
Why do you feel the need to keep justifying your greatest mistake? Is it because you are now beginninng to realise the mistake?
Happily the EU is run by pragmatic adults who have shown no malice to the UK.
Not toddlers who like to scream the same thing and wont settle down for a nap.

Totally agree with the EU, the UK has no right in lobbying individual states on EU trade issues, it IS a matter for the EU to deal with.
This is a sly and slimey way of our dodgy government attempting to by-pass the EU by attempting to negotiate with individual states - that is not how the Single Market or the trade block works, you have to go to the organ grinder, not the organ grinders monkey.
Would our government negotiate with Texas or Alaska to try and get a trade deal with the United States ?
