You peice of left wing shite. He lied about his age to join the parachute regiment when this country was at war. He was in the first wave into Normandy on DDay, and you have the fuckin neck to criticise him. What the fuck have yo done for your country? You're out of order RR and ought to apologise. If you read Monte's post properly, he has not criticised Alfred G at all. Bollox.

I don't need an apology. I'm happy to make allowances for Red's lack of comprehension.

Whenever we've lived in rented accommodation, which we have, for convenience, on a couple of occasions. In 2015, 6 months in Dudley, then a couple of years in Kent. I found it stressful, because I like to maintain my own property, and with rented, that's problematic. Most of all, there is a feeling that the property is not yours and at the end of the rental contract we might be asked to move on at short notice. For those reasons I sympathise with the old chap. He must have been given quite a bit of notice and he does have a decent roof over his head. It's a Daily Mail story and I do wonder how it has been embellished for emotional purposes. It hasn't been 'embellished' at all. Both him and his daughter were interviewed on GB News earlier, quite an emotional interview. Ah — GB News…

The whole affair appears to be another of the too frequent instances of how the UK does not look after its retired or wounded-out military.
It’s fine being proud of being ex-military having served, but I don’t understand the virtually burying of comrades in the ground once they’re retired or been chucked out with mental or physical problems…

A communication from my council said that if I were to be given notice and can't find another place. I must not leave until the landlord has a possession order from a judge. Even then I must stay until the bailiffs chuck me out if I haven't found a place. Failure to do this will result in my being categorised as having made myself intentionally homeless. Whilst it is actually a criminal offence (punishable by up to three years in prison) for a landlord to take possession of a house before getting a possession order if the tenant refuses to leave, the police told me that "It's a civil matter" and they would only attend if I called them in order to prevent violence ... they would not stop the landlord from evicting me. When I showed a police sergeant the law as published online by the government he laughed and said: "You shouldn't believe what you read on the Internet."
Shelter says there are at least 50,000 illegal evictions in England every year.

I sympathise with you, I sympathise with anyone in that situation, but the problem is not one of too few properties, we are building c230,000 properties a year. The problem is too many people.

Oh dear, Pat you appear to be getting a tad bitter and twisted. Excellent lol. But I have to say, you'll have to do better than that, come on man (assumption) tell him to pull out so you can concentrate, if you're attempting to annoy/insult me, at least put a bit of effort into it for Christ's sake.
