What Rishi Sunak actually stated was a disgrace, and has been widely reported as been unacceptable by a large section of the media.
He stated that The Labour Party are "on the same side as criminal gangs", which any decent politician would not state, or would at the very least clarify.
"Its been a bad week for the Left" ?
Latest Westminster Opinion Poll ( published 24th Redfield Wilton )
LAB: 45% (+1) CON: 28% (+1) LDEM: 14% (+1) REF: 6% (-2) GRN: 4% (-) I DONT THINK SO

It'll get a lot worse during the next GE campaign.

It'll get a lot worse during the next GE campaign. I'm sure it will as the Tories try to defend their ineptitude over the small boats fiasco. They'll make assertions they are the party to cut illegal immigration, whilst their record says otherwise. At least we know Labour have a laissez faire attitude.

Nothing new there. He is right. And talk about disgrace, we saw the Labour ads claiming Sunak doesn't believe adults who sexually assault children shouldn't go to prison.

The Left have been arguing the corner for criminal gangs where illegal migration is concerned. That's a pretty serious allegation. Please can you define who you are meaning by "the left" and provide evidence of arguments in favour of criminal gangs?

Certainly: www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/priti-patel-jamaica-daily-mail-mps-labour-mps-b2290551.htmlThe Left aide and abet these activities with their God-like virtues: “I was heavily involved in that as home secretary at the time, and I’m afraid, as ever, we came up against various specialist immigration lawyers, Labour MPs but also celebrities who for some reason thought that they should stop a deportation flight of foreign national offenders going back to Jamaica, and that was completely wrong. For my mind, the Left are as guilty as the criminals themselves. Virtues above public safety of British citizens must be on their CV.

Thanks for your reply. Please can you define who you mean by "the left" as it can be very broad. It could cover over half the population so I want to be exactly clear who you are referring to.

This is a really good one ....... Under Corbyn the Labour Party became the largest political party in Europe in terms of membership, but he was a disaster at the ballot box, and so in reality membership numbers are coming down from an almost record high. IRRELEVANT - Its votes that count, I would rather have a Labour Party with low membership in government, as oppossed to a party with a huge membership in eternal opposition.

Starmer has labour party membership down from what it was under both corbyn and blair. It is votes that count , and it proves not only is starmer unpopular with party members , and as we know unpopualr in the old labour red wall of england and for example the old red clydeside , but further entrenches my view starmer is merely a spokesperson for the middle class southern english liberals and i firmly believe is on course not to win the next general election.

Not sure where you get your information from thomas, but every survey and poll says that The Red Wall Seats would be back in Labour hands if an election was called tomorrow. THE CONSTITUTION SOCIETY Is an independent, non-political organisation based in Westminster, and who's aims are primarily to educate and inform the people of the UK on how our constitution works. Earlier this year the Constitution Society did some polling and this is what their polling found. >> Among Red Wall voters: On General Voting Intention, Labour has a lead of 33% over the Conservatives --------------------------------------------------------------------------- The most recent poll in Red Wall seats was conducted by Redfield & Wilton and published two days ago Conservative 30 Labour 48 Lib Dem 6 There are many reasons why Labour voters in Red Wall seats will return back to Labour (1) Corbyn has gone (2) Brexit is done (3) Boris is gone (4) we now have a traditional Conservative Prime Minister who is not a populist. Based on evidence it would take something of monumental proportions to turn around the polling for the Conservatives. Also, polling shows some major changes to voting intentions in Scotland, with Labour gaining ground over the SNP, but I will grant you, that is at least in part due to shall we say "some local difficulties" for the SNP.

Rishi Sunak says 'unacceptable' rogue solicitors who were found telling migrants how to cheat the asylum system must face the 'full force of sanctions' and calls for a review by the legal watchdog...The interventions followed this newspaper's damning investigation into the activities of unscrupulous lawyers charging thousands of pounds to submit false asylum claims for illegal immigrants.
Some law firms are charging up to £10,000 to invent stories of torture, death threats and modern slavery designed to help clients claim asylum. The investigation found legal staff readily agreeing to help submit false claims, in apparent contravention of the solicitors' code of conduct.www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12341749/Rishi-Sunak-says-unacceptable-rogue-solicitors-telling-migrants-cheat-asylum-face-force-sanctions-calls-review-legal-watchdog.htmlHere are some of the lovely lawyers who aide and abet economic migrants & undesirables to lie their way into our country. And the sad fact is, this is widespread and has been going on for years. The three criminal lawyers in the above clip will likely not be struck off, that would be racist. They will probably be given some minor sanction and before long they will be back in business getting illegals into this country.
