19 years ago Theo Van Gogh was murdered in the EU member state by an Islamist extremist, 21 years ago Pim Fortuyn was murdered by a far left extremist. Have the EU or the Dutch government done much to counter extremism and create a more liberal and more safe free speech environment?
As I understand it, Geert Wilders is still living in fear, with a bodyguard, so, I don't think either the member states or the EU have created a safer environment.

A few years ago the EU attempted to gag the press. They told the British press not to reveal the fact that terrorists were Musilms. It's inconceivable the same diktat was not issued to the press in EU member states.

What on earth are you talking about now Racks? To anyone blessed with the ability to read English I would have thought it was fairly obvious.

I can read the words but even with your “creative” approach to reality struggle to work out what on earth you are referring to.
Perhaps someone on GB News fed you the line…

Perhaps someone on GB News fed you the line… In the OP Vin asked what the EU had done to counter terrorism, to be fair they haven't done anything to counter terrorism, quite the reverse. However, I pointed out that the EU told the British press not to reveal it when terrorists were Musilms, and that it would have been inconceivable that the same diktat was not issued to the press in EU member states. The point being, the EU don't want electorates to know when terrorists are Muslims.

You’ve just repeated the claim you made before.
Sometimes with these claims you make, you can just about work out the real life story you have misrepresented to get to your claim
I think once in the distant past you were actually right.
This time I am struggling tbh.
You say the EU told the British press not to reveal it when an act of terrorism was Islamic.
What exactly are you referring to when you claim this?

Did you read the reports you linked to Racks? LOL, and true to form Dappy pretends there's something I missed that completely invalidates the link/s I provided. I think a more pertinent question is, did you read them.

Yes I did.
You claimed that the EU had told the British press not to disclose that a terrorists motives were Islamic
Your own links shows that to be untrue.
The report you refer to came from a think tank linked to the Council of Europe.
The Council of Europe is a body that includes all the countries of Europe excluding Belarus and Vatican City. 46 countries altogether. We remain a member today.
The Council of Europe didn’t endorse the think tanks report. Just another of many reports that get written every year by think tanks and ignored.
Apart from when the Express or the Mail fancies a bloody good bit of outrage.
It had nothing whatsoever to do with the EU.
Your own links made all that very clear.
Did you not read them? Was fact and truth not important to you? Were you lying or simply ignorant

How could the EU dictate to any news media (other than any of its own) what it can or cannot publish. Each EU member has its own laws on such matters…

For goodness sake Red, I have just explained this to you. As before me did the Daily Express and the Daily Mail.
The European Commission against Racism and Intolerance ( ECRI) is a think tank linked to the Council of Europe.
Nothing whatsoever to do with the EU.
So I ask again
1) Did you read your link 2) Do you care about truth 3) were you lying or simply ignorant?
