Just listened to this story on the news, incredible. What's the betting the government attempt to play this incident down, they don't understand the level of anger over the illegal invasion from France. I'd be surprised we didn't see more shocking incidents like this, people have had enough. Well, I guess if it’s a demonstration against asylum seekers, that’s OK. For a while I feared it might have been some unhinged Islamist abusing the UK’s hospitality… Pat, a question: Q. What's the difference between an asylum seeker, a refugee, an economic migrant, and an illegal immigrant? A. If they land on an English beach from the 'safe' EU state of France, there is no difference. They are all illegal and should be treated accordingly. |

Thus far we do not know his motivations or mental state. The fact that he topped himself certainly leaves question marks over the latter. Yet people are assuming what they want to believe, that this was some sort of noble anti-immigrant martyr committing the noble deed of fire-bombing immigrants out of righteous anger and ready to die for such a noble cause. You are all going to look pretty damned stupid if he turns out to be a paranoid schizophrenic who thought he was saving the world from aliens, lol. I will await more information before I reach any firm conclusions, but suspect the attacker to have been mentally unbalanced. |

As I read you, firebombing accommodation where asylum seekers are lodged is understandable and appropriate and should be the regular treatment, particularly if they arrive from France… |

Do the Police know why he did it? No not at the moment they can't ask him as he killed himself, unless he has left a message behind will they know for certain why he did it, certainly not the act of a sane person IMHO
Will the Police treat it as an act of terrorism? or Arson with intent to kill? or straight forward Attempted Murder? far too early to tell

No not at the moment they can't ask him as he killed himself, unless he has left a message behind will they know for certain why he did it, certainly not the act of a sane person IMHO Will the Police treat it as an act of terrorism? or Arson with intent to kill? or straight forward Attempted Murder? far too early to tell I suspect the BBC will regard it as terrorism against poor downtrodden refugees by a Tory voting right-wing extremist. I suppose time will tell. |

The man suspected of firebombing the Border Force immigration centre in Dover on Sunday is a 66-year-old from the High Wycombe area, police have said.
The suspect was later found dead after petrol bombs were thrown at the centre.
Kent Police officers carried out a warrant at a property in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire today.
Police said "two to three incendiary devices" were thrown at the centre by "a single suspect who arrived at the scene in a car".
