This is exactly the kind of insulting sexist comment which hugely supports my post he replied to. I choose not to invite such comments into my life. Good bye. This is the sort of attitude that spawned the whole woke movement Red. You've got nobody to blame but yourself really. On the other hand I chose to take it as a joke because it made me giggle.

This whole forum should be named " Boyz n the hood". And achieves nothing but some opportunity to wave a flag. You try to start a thread about what is happening today and it lasts at best two pages. You open a thread that has the letters EU in the same line and it is like an old 78 inch vinyl record.over and over. It is REALLY BORING. Well stop doing it then. 🙄

Imagine in generations to come, or in the history books of the future, how people will laugh when they read how the British government decided to leave the European Union, and instead join a trade group on the other side of the world. Folks will think that The Monster Raving Loony Party were in government

Yes, the same sort of people who when presented with a world map need an arrow telling them where they are. Without it, they wouldn't have a clue.

Folks will think that The Monster Raving Loony Party were in government We left a political union, did a free trade agreement with it, our exports to it are worth a lot more than they were pre referendum (adjusting for inflation). Now, as well as doing an FTA with the EU, we've signed more free trade agreements. What are you upset about?

Free Trade Agreements or Free Trade Areas are NEVER JUST ABOUT TRADE
You might think so, but then one day someone in one of the member states will say "just a minute, your meat process plants are not required by law to be refrigerated working areas, but our are", and then a disagreement arises, and an argument breaks out.
You cannot have a Free Trade Area without the same rules and regulations, and you have to have a governing body, a regulatory authority and framework, otherwise Free Trade Agreements will always fall apart.
If it makes sense to have a Free Trade Agreement, then it automatically follows that it makes sense to enter into one upon your doorstep, with neighbouring countries.
If you do enter into a Free Trade Area, with your neighbouring countries, then it also makes sense to create a common customs zone and a Single Market.
and now, after 7 years, the British people now realise what a mistake it was to leave the European Union

I maintain that the article I posted about the CPTPP is more relevant on this forum than anywhere else since the tenor of the article clearly suggests a comparison between the EU and post-Brexit Britain. At any rate, I do accept your decision to close the thread; however, I can not accept the tone of the comment of the Administrator and the manner with which I was told to post elsewhere. A good and effective moderator or administrator would have shown their member the courtesy and consideration to be informed via a private message. I am withdrawing my free membership but many thanks. Oracle don't be daft, I know you're reading this and I know you miss us, and we miss you. Now stop being stubborn and get your pro EU arse back here for goodness sake. Good heavens life's too short. I promise I'll be nice, nice ish anyway. Come on you know it makes sense.
