Ah I see so you want everyone to eat plants like the cows do but they’re worse than the humans.
And you want to impose your eating habits on everyone because you think it better.

No. I want people to eat less meat because it would be better for the planet.

Firstly it's cows burps not farts that emit lots of methane. Secondly it takes up to 10kg of feed to make 1kg of beef. A plant diet will reduce greenhouse emissions. Ruminants produce more gas and eat much more than humans. |

Mankind can't eat grass, as cows do. Cows do a fine job of turning grass into milk and meat. That's good enough for the majority of people in the world.

UK cattle eat the equivalent of 11 billion loaves of bread in wheat each year. Even sheep have to eat things other than grass in the winter and cows spend more than 6 months in the cowshed eating high protein feed. |

Well how different is it to having a pet that is one of many that kills 92 million mammals per year in the UK of which 27 million are birds,many of which birds eradicate insects which devastate crops or would if they weren’t killed by cats. Add to that a plant based diet will increase human farts and if you maintain it’s methane that causes global warming (as you do) which causes most cattle or humans? You we’re saying about caring for the environment? |

It's why I go litter picking regularly to keep the place tidy. It's why we use very little in the way of mains water, electricity and gas. However, I don't believe that global warming is caused by mankind, nor do I believe that we can control the weather by killing 200,000 productive cows. |
