A fundraiser for a French policeman who shot a teenager during a traffic stop has reached more than €1million
Good to see that the majority are on the side of the cop and not the criminal. Can't see that happening here.

Nothing to do with the EU.

What makes you think this section is intended for discussion of the EU as an institution rather than (or as well as) the geographic regions and happenings in the various countries which comprise it?
Would you demand that the World section only discusses world governance?

What makes you think this section is intended for discussion of the EU as an institution rather than (or as well as) the geographic regions and happenings in the various countries which comprise it? Would you demand that the World section only discusses world governance? Because matters occurring in the UK weren't discussed in this part when the UK was part of the EU. Only those issues relevant to UK membership of the EU were discussed here. And, as everyone keeps pointing out, the EU is not Europe. Why wouldn't it be a Europe section instead of an EU section, otherwise? This part is clearly intended to discuss issues relating to EU membership. The clue is in the title. By the way, would you like to take a stab at solving the mystery as to why a thread that was related to Brexit and the EU was removed from this section, while this thread, which has nothing to do with the EU, was allowed to stand in the EU section?

"A fundraiser for a French policeman who 'executed' a teenager during a traffic stop has reached more than €1million - dwarfing the €189,000 donated to the victim's devastated family". Bloody hell, if that's not an indication of public feeling I'd like to know what is.

Of course this thread appertains to the EU, it concerns events in France. Unless you're of the opinion that the EU consists only of a few bureaucrats in Brussels in which case you are of course free to express it. But the rest of us are equally free to ignore your inane bleatings.

As your idiot right-wing friends keep pointing out, the EU and Europe aren't the same thing.

But the rest of us are equally free to ignore your inane bleatings. Didn't you create a poll asking which poster's threads members were most likely to ignore? Didn't you come out well in the lead, with your 'inane ramblings' scoring as the most ignored?

Good effort! Looks like the French have their priorities right for once. They're probably as fed up with criminals as we are.

Nothing to do with the EU. As far as I'm aware France is an EU state, is it not?

Nothing to do with the EU. As far as I'm aware France is an EU state, is it not? But it's got nothing to do with the EU. France is also a part of the World, is it not? The presumption against redundancy dictates that matters that don't specifically refer to EU matters belong in that area. And Gnome's thread related to Brexit, did it not?

You say that but "Petty" criminality has a significant effect on the quality of life of many people. I'd have used stingers on the tyres and then upon conviction, locked the little shit in a strait jacket and leg restraints for five years. Make an example of bastards like that without killing em. Make them genuinely fear prison.
