It's not her who is "far right" it's the EU. Isn't it? It's a xenophobic racist Commission run oligarchy. It would be worrying if you felt any other way, Iggy. After all, you want to airdrop refugee families into Somalia and reintroduce workhouses.

What would be wrong with introducing an institution which provides work and a safe environment for destitute people? Sounds socialist to me, I would have thought you would approve. Outraged lefties would of course shout it down as the Tory workhouse, they would presumably be happy to see people who may benefit from such institutions sleeping on the streets. The problem with ideological lefties is, they cant get their head around the fact that Das Kapital was not an instruction manual, or for that matter that socialism has failed.

Dr. Alice Weidel is not stupid. The EU has shrunk from 27 states to 9 effectively. Ouch.

Why would you call them workhouses? What you describe has no relationship to the workhouses as they existed. If a couple of these 'workhouses' was grouped together, would you call them a concentration camp? Iggy probably would. I mean, what inspired Iggy to use the word workhouse? The guy obviously has below average intelligence, yet he never tires of telling the rest of us how the world should be run.

Servants today are not the same as servants of old but we still call them servants. A workhouse, which is what is proposed, is still a workhouse. No point in calling it something else

Vinny's proposing a workhouse. In 2023! Can't wait to hear his ideas on ducking stools in 21st Century Britain.

Hilarious that a leftie would be against such a concept and prefer to have homeless people on the streets. But this is the kind of person who supports the EU and all its faults.

I'm not against any of those things. It doesn't sound anything like a workhouse, though. Why on earth would you choose to use that word to describe it?

How's about you read up on the AFD first? I may not have written their manifesto but I am very aware of AfD. I am also aware that parties like AfD thrive when majorities are ignored. The EU are slowly writing their own eulogy, you will of course rubbish this, to be expected. The imminent death of the EU has been greatly exaggerated. Countries are still queuing up to join. In the 7 years since we shot ourselves in the foot no one else has asked to leave. It's as healthy as ever.

Turkey will have to make a lot of changes before they will be even considered. Yup, like green lighting Sweden into NATO for one. And when they join they will be the most populous country in the EU, (just) beating Germany into 2nd place. They just need to make a few promises and they'll be treated like Greece who never met the requirements to join, but guess what?
