Dear Forumers,
I will wear a red MAGA baseball cap on a day trip to London soon, just to basically test what the reaction is. Because it always seems that so-called "Democrats" and Anti-Trumpers are always likely to be much more confrontational, aggressive, violent, intolerant, narrow-minded and bigoted people. If the weather is still warm then I will also wear a crop top, shorts, and trainers, nothing else.
If some reactions to the MAGA cap are very hostile then I may use another type of MAGA in that case. Krav Maga, an Israeli martial art which I have had training in, in the past.

Dear distant,
Yes the avatar is my actual photo. And I think that there will be attention and perhaps comments about the cap. It will be like a sociopolitical experiment.

Dear Forumers,
I still plan to wear the MAGA cap in Central London when I go there again, to test for the reaction of different people. Because it is such a controversial thing apparently! And ironically, the so-called Democrats are the ones who have tendencies to be much more aggressive and intolerant.

Veronika Oleksychenko I'm an Anti-Trumper — especially anti those who Trump in enclosed spaces, like in a lift or on the tube.
Perhaps if people were, to use your words, much more confrontational, aggressive, violent, intolerant, narrow-minded and, yes, bigoted about Trumpers, they might clench their buttocks and strain to keep their anti-social emissions under control...

Dear Forumers,
As I have an appointment this week at New Idol Models, for a modelling test shoot photo assessment in London, I will actually take my red MAGA baseball cap in my wardrobe selection. I wonder if the photographer will want me to wear it for any images. I suppose that they will be against it.

It would be more risky wearing a shirt saying, 'I voted Brexit and am proud of it!'
A lot of people here won't even notice a MAGA cap.

It may be risky wearing a Brexit shirt in London, but not in this neck of the woods. As for not noticing someone wearing a red MAGA cap, I think you may be wrong on that. I imagine some people would be very outraged indeed.

And ironically, the so-called Democrats are the ones who have tendencies to be much more aggressive and intolerant. Veronika Oleksychenko Such a cap will have far less meaning to most people in the UK than it does in America. Most wont know what it means. Some might associate it with Trump but just assume you are a dumb American tourist. Only the politically aware ones who follow politics much might recognise the hat and understand what it means. But most would probably assume you are an American visitor, since it would not be obvious why a non-American would strut around with a MAGA hat on. So for those who understand the message of the hat, the most likely assumption would be that you are a Trump-supporting American, proudly flaunting that fact here. That latter assumed fact might be taken as provocative for those here who regard Trump as dangerous and obnoxious, and any hostility you get will probably be due to that. Though most Britons when not intoxicated or in crowds tend to avoid reacting, beyond the occasional glare. So most people would probably just ignore you. If anyone does confront you verbally, on the assumption that you are an American, it will probably surprise them when you speak (assuming you don't speak with an American accent). How they react after that will depend upon how you respond. Most Britons today regard Russia as an enemy state again as in Cold War days, and most politically aware ones also see Trump as dangerously pro-Putin. So if they identify you as a Russian wearing a pro-Trump hat it will merely confirm all their suspicions and be seen as further evidence that the Trumpists and Putinists are on good terms with each other

To be truly risky here someone would need to wear a shirt that says "Remainers are traitors" or "Leavers are thick" or something like that. I wouldnt suggest wearing such a shirt in London or any other part of the UK though without a bodyguard. lol

As a forum lefty, although not a far left one as many rightwingers here like to label me, I can assure you that if I saw somewone wearing a MAGA cap I would not react at all because there would be nothing to gain from it bar needless confrontation that could never change anything anyway. I would pretty much ignore him or her unless they were friendly towards me in some way in which case I would be friendly back. I would have noticed the cap but kept my thoughts on it to myself. Primarily I would have just thought, "what a twat""
