I've been listening on & off to events unfold about this all day. Still a lot to be revealed, apparently she smashed through a fence and ploughed through an end of term picnic the kids were having. But according to overhead drone shots, the fence is undamaged. Real tragedy about the little girl who died at the scene, lets hope the others pull through.

I wondered if a brand new Land Rover has automatic emergency braking, Red.
If it did, it didn't work. Maybe these vehicles are not as techno as I thought.

They are too techno imo, electric everything. But who knows what went on here, no doubt we'll find out eventually. You gotta feel for that little girls parents. I've been to a few funerals, but I've never buried one of my kids. |

Hopefully the families will be given the same privacy in their grief. There are still two people in very serious condition in hospital. |

Of course the Police only divulge the bare minimum of information as they are conducting a live investigation into the death of a child and others who were injured, they need witnesses to come forward and asked them to do so, too much information released to the media very often results in some nutter or attention seeker who was nowhere the scene saw nothing was not there telling the media and the Police a load of Pony and Trap.

He was blameless the kid ran from behind a parked car had no chance of stopping. |

I've been to a few funerals, but I've never buried one of my kids. it’s a big hole, and a tiny white box, and it’s an AWFUL LONG way down. My brother’s kid, born within a week of my eldest. They were two peas in a pod. Then one morning he didn’t cry like he usually did at shit o clock in the morning. Ian found him on his stomach cold blue and going stiff. They call it sudden infant death syndrome. Which is a posh phrase for ‘fuck knows what killed him’ It’s gut wrenching. The not having a reason why is the worst. |

It happened to one of my wife's brothers , he went to look in on him in the early morning before going to work and found him, that was over 20 years ago, and as you say he does not know why it happens

Anyway, coming back to this woman, any further news.
Im guessing (but basing my guess on my personal experience and that of a friend) that the first people who will want a chat ate the DVLA medical staff and shortly after that it might be a while before she gets to use car keys again, for her own good.
Unless anyone’s seen any more info i am beginning to think this a terribly sad end to a medical problem. If this came out of the blue i am really sorry for her. If on the other hand she was as aware as a certain glaswegian bin lorry driver… butbthat’s the problem. Its too easy to think the worst assisted by a prior case of a right bloody crook ….

I would tend to agree, either the medicine has side effects not known about or she took too much probably unwittingly.
It will be interesting to see how this develops or will it be quietly ignored and just brief details published in 6+ months time to avoid media investigations into her medications.

Two people are dead, that means inquests and then there will have to be some sort of court hearing. I can't see it being swept under the carpet.
