Meaning she did nothing to promote leaving the EU - there were any number of genuine options around that she could have gone with, yet she chose not to. There was BRINO, Norway-style, Canada-style, Swiss-style, and Johnson-style. None of which the public had a chance to vote on. The public were left to the mercies of the in-fighting and splintering of the Tory party, which was the reason for the ref in the first place. It was like voting in a GE whose manifesto reads WE WILL MAKE YOU RICHER, WHITER AND HAPPIER EVER AFTER. DETAILS TO COME WHEN WE MAKE SOME UP. Coda Thomas, if you could put two piec4s of material together and stitch a straight seam, you might remember that i have worked in Strasbourg for many years. That i told you i cannot vote in the UK since I have been out of the country for more than 15 years.i had zero chance to vote in the last election but could vote in the ref as an ex-pat. (Called "immigrant" by the ROW) Now if you wish to accuse and insult others about events that happened in UK politics pre 2016, be sure you know and remember facts already explained to you. And do not treat others as idiots by trying to blame a government that has been in opposition for 13 years for the mess the current government(s) have created.

was this post aimed at me?
What do you mean my obsession? I voted remain. Im talking politics on a political forum , and giving my view. Sorry if you dont like alternative views and wish to live in cloud cuckoo land .
You certainly arent one of them judging by your posts ive read on here. The way i see it you failed misreably to persuade people of your view in 2016 , and have been failing miserably in every election since. Your side have another chance in the next election , and its looking good under your pro EU starmer , but dont over egg the pudding oracle and throw it at the last minute.
A lot of the problems we see started under the new labour government. With new labours track record , i would keep silent on housing if i were you pal.
Flooding the uk with mass immigration during the blair years , barely building any houses , thatcher building more social housing , then carrying on right to buy , and opposing the snp ending it in scotland. You and new labour are a large part of the problems we see today. You are not the solution.
you arent the most aware person are you? Once more , i didnt vote brexit , and i didnt expect it to do anyhting for me.
Rather than posting guff on this thread to me , why arent you addressing this to the people who voted brexit , and from what i see would do so again?
AH. Having spend hours in here defending Brexit while evidence and facts show clearly that it has made life far more difficult for a large number of people, znd th4 "sovrreignty: it offered the country has become a sick joke, you now declare that sunce you didnt vote for it, you have done a 180 u-turn and defend the result, denying the obstacles it has brought. Further you are skipping back to pre 2016 And the last Labour government to blame them for the 13 years of Brexit Tory rule And the utter clusterfuck they have been. Is there no limit to your duplicity and dishonesty? Eh?
Can you show me a post where i have defended brexit? Again , your lack of awareness shines through. I defended democracy , somethng which is above your petty squabbles over losing a referendum.
aye thats correct. I voted remain. Sorry if that doesnt fit in with the comfortable wee niche you wish to put me in , but tough. Its possible to support remain , but not support the anti democratic tendencies many of your fellow anglo remainers have shown these past 7 years.
you brought up housing. Im merely showing housing issues began long before brexit and tory governments. Sorry if we plebs dont have the historical amnesia labour require to gain our votes.
No. They are to blame for the thirteen years of housing problems prior to tory rule. Their legacy on housing is so shambolic im surprsied you thought to bring it up and make political capital. Poor move. prove i have been duplicitous or dishonest. your problem mate is you cant think outside the political box of tory versus labour , or understand modern politics. You sound like a dinosaur stuck 30 years in the past.

You told us parliament is sovereign , and it gets to decide. You know , when you were trying to justify parliament attemtping to overturn the public vote in 2016 ?
Now you bleat the public didnt have a vote on the above? Is ther any sort of consistency to your arguments?

Businesses were shutting up shop before the referendum, our country was dying, our export trade with the EU was in terminal decline.
Even HP Sauce production was outsourced to the continent rather than continue here.
It's laughable seeing Europhile cultists bemoaning a democratic vote which has made us all better off.

It would be helpful if you thought about what you write a little longer. Once again STOP PUTTING WORDS IN MY MOUTH I HAVE NOT BEEN A VOTER IN THE UK FOR MANY YEARS. AND WHO WAS IT OTHER THAN A TORY GOVRRNMENT WHO TRIED TO EXCLUDE PARLIAMENT JUST AFTER THE REF? Is that your idea of democracy? The courts dont think so. The public never had the opportunity to vote on the various forms Brexit could take. THAT IS A FACT. It was declared by the same government who tried to prorogue parliament. It was as if Charles I was being resurrected. Frankly I couldnt care less about interparty history. I am however fascinated at your efforts to swerve the subject, deny you ever defended Brexit and completely overlook facts. You are truly a mental miracle.

I didnt tell anyone anything. It is what the Tory Leavers told you. Who then went on to try to disband Parliament indefinitely. Thr same govt who refused to offer the public a choice about the future form of the New Messianic Era. Now that doest sound very democratic to me. Does it to you? The rest doesnt make sense.

How can imports be too cheap?
Dont you understand profit?
BTW none of those things were affected by the EU. They were the result of poor national government and could be corrected without reference to the EU.

As you're on ignore I'll take it that you said "I stand corrected Vinny, you're right, the EU fucking sucks".
