Harsh, but true. I can’t emphasise this strongly enough: You're not a woman just because you have man boobs, Vinny. Accept that and move on.

Lord Hammond, had told LBC in an interview that ‘relaxing immigration could help deal with record rises in wages across Britain by creating more competition for jobs and lowering workers’ ability to push for pay increases.’
This ^ makes sense. Particularly, at this stage where inflation is very high. Well, at least you're not hiding behind the veil of worker's rights anymore. Only a remainer would want to see wages suppressed because he believes the EU is the greatest thing to ever happen to human civilisation.

Brexit fundamentalists in the government demand a repeal of retained EU law on workers' rights. Assuming he somehow managed to recognise it, a Brexit fundamentalist would always dismiss the damaging inflationary effects of unmanaged wage growth just so he could denigrate the EU. < That is a given.

Even now the remoaners are in denial and cannot get over the fact that David Cameron and the EU lied to them.

I think its great news - assuming that at some point there is another referendum on whether we should rejoin, the pro-EU faction will be standing on a platform of making wages lower. I wonder how much traction that is going to get - especially after last time when they admitted leaving was going to push up wages. It's as though those in favour of EU membership really think that people want to be made poorer..

Besides, isn't it your contention that Brexit was all about politics and never about economics -- why are you now complaining that we're poorer? You asked for it -- and dragged us all into the effing mess.

You're arguing for the sake of arguing now. How do you mean leaving the EU didn't make you poorer -- or less wealthy. The value of our currency went down in the wake of the referendum results. That was a direct hit on our -- everybody's -- pockets. Nobody was exempt from that bomb. Even you. Unless, of course, you have no connection with or are living completely outside the UK.

How does the value of the currency make anyone poorer? - if you are worth £1 million and the exchange rate changes you are still worth £1 million. Every time the Pound rises do you think you get wealthier?

Tony Blair is a despicable creature who imo escaped justice.
He should disappear shut up and be grateful he’s not been made to pay.

Every time the Pound rises do you think you get wealthier? If you are worth £1M and the pound weakens; yes, you will still count £1M notes but that £1M itself is never going to be worth £1M anymore. £900K or ££600K depending on the value of the weakened pound. It is called the purchasing power of a currency. And that correlates with inflation, devaluation, deflation, currency appreciation, currency depreciation. The value of the currency -- that's how you get poorer or richer with currencies. That's how foreign exchange business works. That's how Soros got richer by over £1B in the early 90s. And that's why Chinese, Arab, Russian billionaires would rather park their cash in London prime property market than keep their currencies in a bank account.
