It has been revealed that no government minister would appear on tonights Question Time
Cowardly ministers have been slammed after it was revealed no one will represent the Government at tonight's Question Time special on Brexit
The episode which will be shown tonight, comprises wholly of people who voted LEAVE, and comes on the eve of the 7th anniversary of the vote which saw LEAVE win by a margin of 52% to 48%.
Surely democracy is not simply about one man / one vote, it is also about healthy debate, helping to shape and form opinions and ideas, informing people of facts, yet time after time this governmeny has no one available for topical discussions, and not only on our state broadcaster, but ITV, SKY and on radio too.

If the program is going to be about Brexit then I'm not surprised nobody from the government wants to attend - they would have some chutzpah to try and trumpet their successes since we left.

Apologies for comming in late on this Sidney, just seen it. To be fair, I wonder why any Tory would appear on BBC QT. I used to be an avid, until 2016. The state broadcaster is about as impartial as Channel 1 Russia. |

BBC QT audience ‘blood boils' at Campbell's claims public was lied to over Brexit
ABBC Question Time Brexit special this evening saw Alastair Campbell receive furious criticism from audience members after he took pity on the Clacton crowd for being lied to during the referendum campaign.
Mr Campbell said: "You were lied to I'm afraid, you were lied to".
"You were told it would be pain-free, you were told it would all be upsides no downsides, you were told getting a deal would be easy, that it would be straightforward to leave, you were told we would get the money on the health service.
"Lots of the things you were told would happen, such as a trade deal with the United States haven't happened, and lots of the things you were told wouldn't happen have happened."
A furious audience member opposed this analysis from the former Labour spin doctor, however, saying Mr Campbell's argument made her "blood boil".

Campbell is an idiot, he makes a living from his days as Blairs mouthpiece, he's got nothing else. He's an aggressive lefty with a big mouth, some things never change.

I think Alistair Campbell should be in jail for causing our involvement in an illegal war that killed thousands of people and destabilised the Middle East. How he can talk about others lying is beyond me.
The thing about the BBC is that if you have opinions that the BBC don't share you won't get a fair hearing. You'll get interrupted the moment you start saying things that the liberal left chairman/woman doesn't like while others can talk all they like. The BBC do seem to be more careful about getting a nominal "balance" on their political panels i.e. there will usually be an equal number of Brexiteers to Remainers on a panel that's debating Brexit. But it's very noticeable that the people selected to represent the BBC view are usually aggressive "motormouths" (e.g. Campbell for one, Stella Creasy for another) the people who don't reflect BBC views seem to mild-mannered, conciliatory, feeble etc. They're people who will never present a compelling argument.
For instance in a discussion on Brexit the BBC would never have Farage on, because he's to articulate and knows too much.

Yep the chairwoman opening shot was that now more leavers wished they hadn't voted the way they did...FFS I don't know a single leaver who regrets their own choice of dumping the EUSSR. |
