Not one of them figured that making the remote reusable after the battery goes flat would reduce waste.
No wonder their sales are going down.
Which is it: liars, morons or both?
A child could tell you that replacing the battery saves waste.

You've already been shown how you can replace the battery, easily.

In my last car Passat and my present car now a Skoda both tell you the car tells you when the Key Battery is getting low warns you to change it, both of them have a hidden key in the Fob to gain access to the vehicle if the remote cannot open the car, that is why I always have a spare battery in the glove box, a belt and braces job

You've already been shown how you can replace the battery, easily. It's not easy, as the video shows. Stop lying.

You could buy a spare car for that money.

Why not go into better details about why modern Land Rovers are shit, instead of obsessing over the key fob.
Modern Land Rovers are shit, because they are luxury vehicles.
Traditional ones, are anything but luxurious though they're foolproof.

It is not a spare key it is hidden in the key Fob which I pointed out , to open the car if the remote battery is very low and not enough power to do so , most local shops will have a battery for sale change it in next to no time .

I think we are drifting from the point I was making. Land Rover are liars, morons and conmen.
They are morons for not understanding customer service and loyalty, plus not having the brains to realise batteries will need replacing.
They are liars for telling you they do everything they can to reduce waste.
They are conmen for stinging the customer with unexpected charges. When buying a new car, it is not made clear to you there will be a $1000 ongoing fee charged in addition to the sales price if you still want your car to work.
What other people do is totally irrelevant. It is what this firm does which is the subject of the thread and this kind of scam.
It is also illegal under consumer protection laws in the EU which state that no firm is allowed to trade in any way which distorts the market. By that they mean conning the customer so the information to the customer is false. The hidden charges scam in other words.

I think we are drifting from the point I was making. Land Rover are liars, morons and conmen. And the best way to make the point is to talk about their vehicles, not their key fobs. How does the psychology work then? Lets try an analogy.
You meet a complete stranger, lets say it is a work colleague. Every day you find him OK and interesting to talk to and yet one day you are minding your own business and he comes up and punches you in the face, He does not say anything. The following days he is like he was before.
Now compare to the exact same thing but this time that time he punches you in the face didn't happen.
Would your mind
A) average out all the times and think on balance he is OK B) think he is a total cnut and you don't want to have anything to do with him and think you aught to ask your boss to get him out of your face.
Now replace you with a car customer and replace him with the offending Land Rover product and replace the punch in the face with a $1000 bill at your trusted Land Rover dealership for a fucking key. Enough to make you livid, no matter how good it was in the past.
