Where do you want him to fuck off TOO BVL. You seem the one who lives in the parallel universe. He was complaining on another thread that I'm rude to him and could not understand why. Now I use two words to make it very simple for him to understand.

It's already been shown to you that the original post in this thread was incorrect about Land Rover keys and batteries. Why not tell the 600 people who also think this is a problem in the comments.

I am correct and you should have the intelligence to see why your link has nothing to do with Land Rover's charges.

Are you now? Well bask in the comfort of your own delusion. The link proves the opposite to the claim. Land Rover are charging a fortune so it has created a secondary market in bypassing their charges. This kind of thing is very common for car spares. In the old days you wanted a new wing panel for a Cortina or similar it would cost you similar to what it would cost if you were buying it as part of the original car, where if it were a European or Japanese car it would cost about 5 times the price, hence replacement parts started to be made. Now Land Rover are stuffing the customer even more charging 30 times the fucking price of the unit for just the battery.
Lets talk about customer loyalty then.
Charging them 30 times the cost is not going to affect the customer's perception if the customer is utterly brainwashed so it has the intelligence of a cabbage.
These are sad times we live in.

But people have pointed you to where you can get a replacement for £30. Are you claiming they're all liars and that we should trust a cowboy who is hoping to profit on Youtube? I am sure it's expensive to have all these things done officially, but this only makes room for other business' to set up shop, as is the case here. Many moons ago I'd repair Apple tech by breaking into them. I don't like Apple and think people are quite dumb to spend a lot of money on restricted technology.

The most basic model of a new Land Rover Defender is £57,540 quid.
No way would anyone in their right mind put a new one through the sort of off road hell you'd comfortably put an old one through.
This is the real issue with them, not the key fob.

My wife lost one of the keys for her Skoda. The local dealer charged €250 for a replacement including 'programming', what ever that entailed.
She'll be more careful in the future.

Many moons ago I'd repair Apple tech by breaking into them. I don't like Apple and think people are quite dumb to spend a lot of money on restricted technology. It's why our economy is failing. It is much more efficient for the original manufacturer to supply the part and even better to use one standard across all models so you carry the least stock and gain economy of scale in manufacture. But this being a small example of a bigger problem, that being the crooked mind of British business. You screw your customers and they will say eventually fuck you, "I'm buying from a firm who doesn't." How to damage a reputation eh? Land Rover is one of the last British iconic brands. Now we know them as wankers. It's close to actually stealing that money for those who pay up. You know which country does most of the work around replacement parts don't you? The will be rewarded with increase sales. (Cheap and good).

The new Land Rover keys also take a CR2032 and you just pop the cover off to replace them. Why don't you phone this customer and tell him yourself that he bought the wrong car? I'm sure he will be delighted to hear your smart-arse reply. If he cant afford £30 then should he really be running around in a Land Rover?. They are after all not the most economical of cars. perhaps he should swap to some cheap no-name chinese box on wheels - not very good but very cheap and within his budget.
