I thought that it was Nats against the English bastards but apparently the Scots still have time for a wee civil war.
Kenny MacAskill MP started to speak in the HoC and the SNP members present promptly stood up and walked out.

moray posted about it in the snp thread borkie down the main board.
I see Alba as doing a necessary job on the snp just as ukip/brexit party and farage did / are doing with the tories and brexit if you see what i mean. Holding their cosy feet to the fire.

yep GRA bill is a crazy piece of legislation that the majority of scots according to polls are against. Madness.
Still the problem for unionists is that despite the discontent with the snp , many nationalists wil simply cross the floor and support Alba rather then any british parties.

Seems to be a sickness coming from the USA and spreading around europe and the western world.

Tasmina Ahmed-Sheikh @tasminasheikh The fact that women, on this issue above all, should ever be pressured or coerced to vote against their conscience, and in some cases no doubt personal experience, is repugnant and in itself a denial of #WomensRights

I once served a writ on a bloke with three different names and doubtful sexuality. He still lost his/her/its business, home and motor cars.

Do pay attention I was so impressed by your thread Moray, that I decided to bump it in case anyone had missed it. The big news is the GRR bill passing the first hurdle and sturgeon having her biggest rebellion of the snp`s time in government borkie. Although it passed by a country mile , as labour and liberals with one tory backed it , it shows the dissent within the party at her leadership.
Of course i have been telling you that on the other forum for a couple of years now.
So interesting times ahead. Pressure mounting on sturgeon day by day , week by week , and as i said Alba breathing down her neck.

I once sued someone who laughed in my face and said I'd never get my money back. I'd never sued anyone before and was very unsure about the course of action I had embarked upon, it seemed to drag on. 12 months later I was laughing, I mean really laughing. It didn't ruin him, I never wanted that. But after the court found in my favour, I did take the liberty of phoning him to laugh, as he did to me 18 months previously.

This is a duplicate thread. As the English have time for a big civil war. And three PM in as many months. How very Italian. Costing the Scottish tax payer billions.

You have me beat mate. She has two Alba MPs who were elected as SNP. How is MacAskill credibility going to stack up with Sunak. Who was elected by nobody. But right wing nut jobs in Westminster. Surly the decent thing to do is for both Alba MPs to resign and put themselves up for re election. I am told when MacAskill responsibility was for the Police. He was well thought of. Making sure what they needed was delivered. In terms of rebellion. It is matter of opinion. And the minister who resigned did the correct thing. Time the wankers in Westminster started doing the same. In terms of the bill. I suspect some 99% of people in Scotland. Do not have a bloody clue. Or the least interested. It made the news because of a resignation. I am sure D.Ross who made a totally prat of himself over the last few weeks, as his party is desperate to get rid of him, will be demanding the FM resigns as a result. I have no idea why the SNP walked out. I suspect it goes deeper than defection. Do you know.

Im tempted to say sturgeon has been "compromised" , but the more pragmatic side of me thinks this is nothing more than about her ego and that she cannot tolerate salmond or any other party challenging her.
The GRR bill is a disaster for the snp. A minority side issue that doesnt need dealt with , much like many other issues while the constitutional issue remains unsolved. I personally think from what i have read the cracks are beginning to widen in sturgeons disasterous leadership of the snp and her time is close to coming to an end. We shall see though.
Ross is a clown of the highest order. The tories have had some good politicians historically in scotland , and of course some utter clowns , but ross really is the scrapings of the bottom of the barrell.
I have always respected MacAskill if not admired him for his quiet demeanor and willingness to get on with the job and his loyalty to both independence and alec salmond. Politics to a lesser or greater degree north and south of the border is a mess at the minute.
