A group of theatrical and big-screen luvvies have composed a open letter to the British government calling for the immediate return of 'British' families currently being accommodated in camps in Syria. All of these poor and vulnerable folk were rounded up and detained following the collapse of ISIS, although it isn't immediately clear whether Shamima Begum is included.
Amongst the signatories are several of the usual suspects including Emma Thompson, Stephen Fry and Olivia Colman while new names include Hollywood slebs Gillian Anderson and Stanley Tucci. Although what it's got to do with them isn't immediately apparent.
I looked for W.P. on the list but didn't see him. I'm sure he would have signed if asked.

I have a better plan, why don't said luvvies go and live in Syria with them instead.
Although of course they may find living under an IS regime a little harsh on themselves.

Most of them are just virtue signaling, 'look how good we are', when in reality if you asked them could they take them in to save tax payers money, they'd be mortified, like Lineker who took in two 'refugees', who'd been well vetted and checked out before they stepped foot in his mansion, just wait to see if Sunak suggests putting a asylum center anywhere in the vicinity of his mansion , he's have his objections in before you can say jack shit. |

Please, these aren't people who climbed any ladders over their politics. They are celebs, many who live in the celeb bubble and are paid big money. It would be career suicide not to conform to the oddball Corporate Left's Woke bollocks. It's partly why the entertainment industry, across the board, is so incredibly nauseating and dumbed down. |
