Good to see the bbc dying a slow death.
Im surprised anyone under the age of 60 still watches it.
More accurately, the BBC is biased towards New Labour, Blairite Labour, Starmer's Labour - unremittingly establishmentarian, socially liberal, economically thatcherite with a soft face. The BBC propagandised against Labour in favour of the Tories when the party was run by genuine socialists. Then it was an enemy of Labour, and lost the trust of much of the British left in consequence. |

Srd7677 corbyn the real socialalst lost labour the2019 General election. Apart from Brexit the utter most popular thing on labour voters mind was Corbyn.
No one in this country won't a far left party or a far right party.

She implied he was the "wrong type of Asian" aka an Uncle Tom. That is why Starmer made her delete the tweet. There were people of Indian heritage phoning in radio talk shows and crying with joy because his achievement meant so much to them. Yet this loony Labour MP decides to take the Uncle Tom route. That (bold), coupled with various headlines, appears, in my opinion, to justify the tweet. Surely the final paragraph rules out any 'Uncle Tom' implication.
It strikes me as a major political blunder to have required Whittome to delete the tweet. Hardly surprising, though.

She is an embarrassment to the Labour party and the product of a weak left wing education system. But it's not all bad news, most naive lefties like her will with age and experience, grow out of it. |

John pilger remarked it is the most refined propaganda service in the world.
He who pays the piper calls the tune as they say , with reference to whoever is in government at westmisnter.
However , the article i linked to was specifically about the scotland branch at pacific quay , which historically has and remains pro and biased towards the labour party. At one time , there were more people with either links to the labour party , or ex labour politicians in bbc scotland than there were ordinary journalists.
Whatever our disagreements in the past on politics , im sure you can begin to see why we scots hate the labour party so much that 70 % of us wont touch them with a barge pole.
This isnt just because of blairism , but many many issues throughout my lifetime ranging from the stitch up of the 1979 devolution fiasco , the feeble fifty , the disasterous economic landscape they endowed on scotland to the behaviour of both the blairites and of course as i discussed with you before momentum in scotland post 2015 to 2019.
Corbyn and one or two other may have been genuine socialists steve , but the labour party hasnt been run by genuine socialists as you put it since prior to 1988 . We see that for example with the influence in the running of the party under corbyn by the blairites , especially starmers major influence in directing corbyn and labours disasterous brexit policy in the run up to the 2019 general election campaign.
