There are a lot of strikes going on right now across airports in Europe.
Swissport was on strike a few times over the last week.

Would the EU compensation rules for delayed flights have covered this, Jonks? I found this: From 1 January 2021, EU rules on air passenger rights do not apply to cases of denied boarding, cancellations or delays to flights from the UK to the EU if your flight was operated by a UK carrier or another non-EU carrier, europa.eu/youreurope/citizens/travel/passenger-rights/air/index_en.htmI thought the EU flight delay rights might have been among the literally thousands of EU laws the government has decided to retain. Any info?

I don't actually know whether they are among the literally thousands of EU laws the government has decided to retain.

Any info? You tell me darling you are the one who thinks your are the fountain of knowledge Take no notice to Darling, most travel agents and airways already offer insurance that covers such events, if people don't take it up that's their fault, like the couple who wanted their money back when they got to the airport their passports only had 9 months left before they expired, when TUI had stipulated on all of their travel documents 'you passports must have at least 12 months before expiry' before you travel ... some people are just thick, then try to blame things like Brexit or the travel agents.
