Baron, I don't mean to be nasty, but have you any idea just how murderous the regime in Moscow has become?
And for that matter, China.
You seem to have a soft spot for the BRICS economies but the fact is Russia and China are run by mass murdering bastards who belong in prison.
You really can't lump them in together because by doing so shows you know nothing of their two cultures. Study some history for goodness sake. They are both pretty smart, Russia because of its Jewish population and with China they were always smart, as you can see right back to ancient times. However the way they use this intelligence is quite different. The way Britain uses its intelligence now is more in line with Russia than China. Britain sees everything as black. It is untrustworthy and it trusts no one. China is the exact opposite in that it wants to trust everyone and will give everyone a fair hearing, only taking measures when the other party screws them over, never a case of initiating hostility, and even when things are hostile China still wants to bring things back to peace. Russia is not so into peace as you know and nor are we. One Chinese diplomat speaking the other day put it bluntly regarding how China thinks, where he retorted that look we built a huge great wall to keep the baddies out, not invaded them. In other words China's military is for the purpose of defence, so we only have it to fear if we are intent on screwing them over, which I strongly advise against.
Here is the positive news though which I would like the UK to focus on regarding China. You probably won't understand this at all unless you have done a lot of business with them, but supposing you have, what you would see is they have a very good set of business practices. It would take me some time to explain it all, and you can really only understand it when you are actually in the game as a trader, but trust me on this. If we adopted their practices we would make a lot of money. We need to fix our economy and our people are just too damn stupid to know what to do. Therefore I would suggest to the UK government and business that we suck it and see. We should encourage partnering with Chinese firms as a sure way to get a grip with their philosophies. I've seen this work in practice and there are many success stories.
