Yeah, have you checked out his town house a block off Edgware Road? And correct -- no more boom-and-bust economy under my Patron Saint, Sir Tony! A depoliticised Bank of England given independence to set interest rates and monetary policies led to inflation staying under control.
Under Sir Tony, a strong world economy, rising immigration and public spending helped to boost growth. Economic growth was unspectacular, but steady - the longest uninterrupted period of growth in 200 years. Imagine -- the longest uninterrupted period of growth. In 200 years! Immigration was rising yet the economy enjoyed a period of low unemployment, with the rate coming down sharply from the high levels of the 1980s.In my view, Iraq always highlights the breath taking hypocrisy of these supposedly "morally upright Brexiteers" in particular. Going to war is always very difficult to justify but this breed of Brexiteers will burst your eardrums with their moral outrage over the invasion of Iraq yet they keep a deafening silence about Britain's arms trade with the Saudis. They constantly complain about this supposed loss of independence to the EU. But they march out of the discussion in a huff when you remind them that it was the UK's independent decision -- in defiance France, maybe -- to join the US, et al. in invading Iraq! cited verbatim from a BBC article.
Only brexiters ? What do you mean, exactly? Explain yourself.

Selling arms is rather different to starting an illegal war.. need to do better.

Selling arms is rather different to starting an illegal war.. need to do better. If the concern is about lives lost in wars not about the legality of wars; then selling arms is no different from starting a war. Both activities produce the same result: loss of lives. Lives were lost in the Iraq war. Lives were lost in the Yemen-Saudi conflict. So. If you're so morally upright as to be outraged by the invasion of Iraq; then you must be as outraged by the fact that we sell arms to the Saudis. Your condemnation of one must be as loud as your condemnation of the other. Consistency, at least,

Well this Brexiteer wants all trade with dictatorships, including Saudi Arabia to stop. Even if it makes us poorer, as it most likely would in the short term.
Morals are more important to me than convenience.
I'd happily stop supplying the Saudis with weapons and parts for weapons.

You would look at it that way if your main, if not the only, concern is about legalities and technicalities of trading arms and initiating wars. I am now SMH.

No. I do not claim that only Brexiteers will show moral outrage over the invasion of Iraq yet keep a deafening silence about Britain's arms trade with the Saudis. Well it’s a start . So what is the ratio of Brexiters who will show moral outrage over the invasion of Iraq yer keep a deafening silence about Britains arms trade with the Saudis to remainers who do the same ? ^ Irrelevant. You are arguing not so much out of context as from an incomplete, personally determined context. The complete context is: There are people (Brexiteers and Remainers) who will show moral outrage over the invasion of Iraq but keep a deafening silence about Britain's arms trade with the Saudis BUT among them, there is a particular breed of Brexiteers who also constantly complain about this supposed loss of independence to the EU, but march out of the discussion in a huff when you remind them that it was the UK's independent decision -- in defiance France, maybe -- to join the US, et al. in invading Iraq. Remainers do not constantly complain about this supposed loss of independence to the EU but march out of the discussion in a huff when you remind them that it was the UK's independent decision to join the US, et al. in invading Iraq. So. Your question is irrelevant.

You claim that it’s Brexiters “In particular” that do this so you must have some figures that supports your claim.( not just supposition and opinion) Otherwise we might start thinking that you made it up .

And there are (B) Brexiteers who DO NOT burst your eardrum with their moral outrage blah blah blah. Will you comprehend it already.

Do you have a figure ? Are there remainers who burst your eardrums with their moral outrage over the invasion of Iraq yet keep a deafening silence about Britain’s arms trade with the Saudis ? Does that make them more or less hypocritical? Do you have any kind of point to make ? You had it right with blah blah blah .
