Meh! Neither the Tories nor Labour are going to hold a referendum on any subject anytime soon. If Scotland votes differ to the rest of the UK, that will be the end of the Union. Okay, let's hear your plan to hold referendums in a way that doesn't threaten the union. The union is always under threat as I have said before there are just as important referendums that can be held to hold politicians to account whoever gets voted in, whether they be localised or national, since when did we give a flying one about what politicians tell us is only for our own good anyway. Give some examples of what you foresee referendums being held for. Unless the issue is one the Scots Nats feel strongly about, they will vote the opposite way they think most of England will vote. That is the shortest route to another referendum on Scottish Independence. Referendums are nuclear weapons for the Scots Nats. So, let's hear what you think other referendums will be held on. |
