Sir Keir Starmer refused to say whether comedian Eddie Izzard would be allowed onto an all-women shortlist as part of ' her' (LOL) bid to become a Labour MP. A row is brewing within the Labour Party after Izzard this month launched a campaign to be chosen as the party's candidate for Sheffield Central ahead of the next general election. www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11348315/Keir-Starmer-REFUSES-say-comedian-Eddie-Izzard-qualify-women-shortlist.htmlOh dear, oh very dear lol. Poor old Keir, what is he to do. Upset Labours woke lobby, or upset the few Labour MP's with common sense?

Think the world has gone nuts Red. Don't have a problem with people deciding their own pronouns in terms of address but we need to separate sex and gender in sports, prisons, safe spaces to protect xx women. It seems politicians would rather sacrifice voters to please the few crazies of the world.

I agree that women, as in XX or 'real' women, are getting the rough end of the stick with all this gender nonsense. I've said before that if a man wants to wear a dress so be it, but that does not make him a woman, it makes him a man in a dress. It's utterly preposterous to even consider referring to a man as a woman just because he like wearing women's clothing. Actually, perhaps you're right, perhaps the world has gone mad.

I don't know where you stand on this but I don't mind addressing anyone to their chosen pronouns. The line I have is including people in areas that is either an advantage to them or a danger to others. We created women sports and prisons for a reason. That genetics matters in specific things. Any politican who doesn't respect that or understand that is a cunt and frankly against women rights. I shake my head at Starmer for not being clear on this. The days of chasing the crazy vote is over for Starmer when his lead is above 30pts. Also you're right. We seem to have imported this from America. Although continental Europe have taken it to a new level. The rest of the world I think shake their heads and wonder what the fuck we are doing to ourselves.

Fortunately I've never been in a situation in which I was expected to refer to a man as a woman, I would find it difficult if not impossible to do so. To me it defies common sense. As you will no doubt be aware, ex Olympic swimmer Sharon Davies speaks very eloquently on the issue of men in women's sports, and for her efforts she receives much hate and vitriol from the woke brigade. A quick related anecdote. Mrs R and I were in a department store a while back. As we approached the till, I became slightly confused at what I was looking at. The 'person' at the till was clearly a young man, and quite a strapping young man. He was 6ft and 15 or 16st. He wore a blue dress with far too much matching blue makeup that didn't really go with his dark stubble. In short, he looked as if he had just come from a rugby club drag night. I was dumfounded that any employer would allow an employee who looked like that to have a customer facing role.

I was dumfounded that any employer would allow an employee who looked like that to have a customer facing role. Yeah, can appreciate that. Can't say I've been in the situation either but if I was I think I can play along. Certainly be OK if they have done the full on surgery and actually made an effort to be "a woman". The problem today is anybody can be a woman, even those who wear a wig and keep their manhood. Have you watched those idiots on YouTube who say women have cocks too! As for Davis, it wouldn't surprise me. I know women who bring this issue up seem to get attacked online. The problem is the wokies who do the "shaming" maybe low in numbers but because they also don't work they have loads of time on their hand to attack people like Davis constantly. Shame really because I think we have lost the plot in the West on this issue and rationale is being replaced to cater to the mentally ill because nobody wants to be seen as uninclusive. The irony is that we are basically taking rights off women to give back to men with mental issues so it is actually the opposite of inclusive. We seem to be in a man's world in which even the women are men!

Alison Pearson in this mornings Telegraph cited an instance where the BBC invited her on Question Time and told her that she would be one of 2 women on the panel.
When she got there she found the other 'woman' was Izzard...

If you like Twitter Maya Forstater @standingforxx - #PosieParker aka Kelly Jay Keen @rosieduffield1 Take this issue seriously, as does a trans person @debbiehayton who never tries to convince anyone (she/he is actually female, but makes comments about being a father, etc.
Personally, I think the whole trans issue is about mental health, even the NHS is coming to its senses, saying it is a phase some youngsters go through.

Well I hope Duffield gets the support she deserves to counter the crazies. Womens rights are being lost to men in dress and frankly I think society is losing the plot over something that should be obvious is a negative to women.
If Izzard becomes Labour women of the year then I'm poltically homeless!
