I don't know why posters are always complaining about the "wokey lefties". Without them, this place would be an echo chamber and the right would have no-one to play with. How would that be any fun? On the contrary, the woke ensure places like this become echo chambers. The woke, whilst the loudest, mouthiest and most miserable are offended by everything but are a vociferous minority who enable echo chambers because most sane people think they're fucking idiots who can't enjoy life. In my opinion, the word "woke" is already hackneyed, and useless if you're trying to persuade someone to your point of view. Insults and name-calling start the conversation off on the wrong foot and don't solve anything. |

That's been well learned from the term 'racist' that did exactly the same thing if someone was concerned with immigration or voted Brexit. Do you think that everyone is either hard right or hard left leaning? I don't. I think many more people are somewhere in the middle, at least on some issues. I don't think it is safe to generalise about anyone, based on what I may know about their opinions on a couple of issues. There are pro-life lefties, for example. |
