So says the president of Southampton's Hindu temple - Sunak was born in Southampton apparently. I seem to remember Martin Luther King talking about judging people by the "content of their character rather than the colour of their skin". So why are the ethnic communities so fixated on the new PM being an Asian Hindu? Shouldn't it be irrelevant? I remember that, in the case of Obama in the 2008 US election, 95% of blacks voted for him - whereas the white vote went roughly 50/50. That's racism.
So let's put aside Sunak's race - and the virtue signalling idiots who think that "it reflects well on the UK to have a coloured PM". That's nonsense. Let's look at the "content of his character". And from what I have seen so far it stinks.
Sunak stood up and called for "unity" today. This was the man who stabbed Boris in the back together with Sajid Javid - to which the shite "comedian" Nish Kumar responded by gloating about "a white man being brought down by two Asians". Another stinking racist. So Sunak is now calling for unity but he not only stabbed Boris in the back but he then proceeded to attack Truss relentlessly on the mini-budget. Remember that the mini-budget actually went down quite well with business (CBI etc) who like the idea of growth. The real backlash came from the hedge funds and the money traders - who are well known to Sunak. These are people who make vast sums of money from chaos - and Sunak saw his opportunity to make a bit of money and destabilise the government. Where was "unity" then?
He pledges adherence to the manifesto - yet he raised taxes by putting up NICs. He says he has to cut spending and raise taxes because of the state of the government's finances, yet as chancellor he ran the biggest budget deficit in history. He made Brown's splurge - the biggest since WWII - look like small change. And a large part of this money was given away to fraudsters or to very generous furlough payments to various workers - some even working - or not working - abroad. And bounce back loans of hundreds of thousands to companies who were formed a few days ago. This is incompetence on a grand scale. Or was he already contemplating his run for PM? It was certainly only shortly after that he started his "Ready for Rishi" website.
Then we get on to immigration. He doesn't like talking about this much. Which is not surprising because he's very chummy with Narendra Modi and supports his bid to make visas easier for Indians to get. India is over 20 times as big as the UK (in population terms) and Indians are the most likely to overstay their visas so this would be a total disaster for our country. India is a mixture of cultural racism (the caste issue), religious racism (Hindu/muslim friction) and gross misogyny. Do we really want to be overrun by these people?
I think we're going to regret handing over power to this hypocrite and charlatan.

Your point about calling for unity now he has achieved his aims by serial backstabbing is a valid one. However, I have confidence that due to the confrontational, aggressive and inherently disloyal tendency of the current Conservative Party he will be toast very quickly if he steps out of line. He has promised to complete the brexit process, address immigration, sort out the NHS and goodness knows what else, so we'll see. I hope that he is as good as he says he is.
We can be sure that Nigel will be monitoring every move.

Give them a couple of minutes lefty and they'll be blaming Starmer for the fact that there isn't going to be a general election. They were already blaming him for the state of the country. They are totally fucked now that an Asian who seems to be an honest man is PM.

Who gives a shit what race Sunak is. He was simply the best of a bad bunch. I don't like this woke bollocks bringing up race into this (BBC I am targeting this at you), when you should go by his merits rather than him being a first of something. He is an economist and predicted that Truss would bankrupt the nation and seems a nice enough bloke. He pisses of Johnsonites so he is over qualified as PM for that alone. The fact he might get us a decent trade deal with India is just a bonus.

The thing is assuming he's a Hindu, they have different religious beliefs and practices, their culture and way of life is not traditionally British, or whatever you want to call it.
The things that are important to the Brits way of life will not have the same baring or importance on his or his family's way of life.
He has probably never celebrated our traditional British values like Christmas or Easter, don't get me wrong they probably recognise it but Not in the same tradition we do.
He must stick to traditional British values or risk being alienated from voters.

Well that's good, let's hope most of them feel the same.

Just let the guy get on with his job. The fear porn isn't warranted.

It's a import issue whether you think so or not, it's one of the burning questions on people's lips, people wont be silenced because the Woke brigade get defence if you dare point out the obvious, Sunak has never stated his religious beliefs or following, so it's only natural now he is a BRITISH PRIME MINISTER, that we have a bigger insight in to him.

What are they — practicing Morris dancing on Tuesdays, assaulting opposition fans at mid-week matches on Wednesdays, pub on Thursday and Friday, football fights and drinking on Saturday and Sunday, and pulling a sickie on Monday? Face it, when summer comes, it’s off to sunny Spain to get blotto on cheap booze and vomiting over their fish and chips. And what do Christmas and Easter mean to the average Brit? My observations suggest more drinking, a bit of turkey and loads of chocolate, while carols and joyful music are piped into the supermarket. Are you able to provide a definition of traditional Brits and their values…?

The 'British' way of life is to be a decent person and not judge someone based on their skin color or religion unless they make it a problem themselves.
Given it's his first day on the job, perhaps a little 'we should practice what we preach unto others' rather than start sensationalizing or throwing fear culture into the mix - which is surely more synonymous with the American way of life?

Over the years 'our traditional' way have life has been stripped from us, in fear that we might offend other religions, you might think it's beer, fags bingo, but I live in a upmarket Cheshire village where we still hold these values dearly.
