This issue as raised on the boards by Baron von Lotsov, is not a binary issue, and in my view, tolerance is not one sided, and has to come from all sides. Firstly, I take issue with Baron von Lotsov with this comment ... "I live in a small country town where it is extremely rare to see anyone who declares themselves as gay". In other words, it would appear that people are reluctant to come out as been gay because of peoples attitudes, which in reality is a quite disgusting state of affairs, people should not be fearfull of been who they are. However, the so called Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, are seemingly intolerant themselves, because as stated in the Wikipedia article, they use drag and religious imagery to call attention to sexual intolerance and satirizes issues of gender and morality. So they appear to mock Christianity, which coming from a section of society who have suffered intolerance and hate, seems an odd thing to do. Most Christians are not anti gay or anti homosexual, and most gay people are not anti Christian, many gay people regard themselves as Christian. Gay people who are LGBT extremists are the opposite side of the same coin as Christians who are anti gay, both are WRONG. It's only odd in that you don't see the full politics of it. The US are trying to destroy the church and also the family. They pay these bastards to do their dirty work and in order to ensure cost effectiveness they promote gay whilst denouncing Christianity. This gives them double the selling credentials to grant-giving social engineers using government money. They tried to promote this filth to children as well, so the anti-gay countryside had a protest against them. They have been trying to turn our town gay for about ten years. One day some big farmer will most likely beat them up and then they will go crying that there is discrimination. This is dictatorship: we will turn you and your children gay whether you like it or not. The arrogance is out of this world.

Baron von Lotsov Have a look at this Wikipedia article en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Westboro_Baptist_ChurchThere are several such so called "Churches" and groups like this one in America, and they spread hatred and intolerance, and in doing so they propogate a divisive society. If people prefer the traditional family, as in Mother + Father who are married in a Church, then that is absolutely fine, and no one has the right to condemn such families. On the other hand, no one should force this way onto others, or demonize those that choose a different way. A Mother and Father who are not married make equally as good, or as bad parents as those married "in the sight of God" I also know of some very happy, stable and well brought up children who have been brought up in a loving gay hosehold, with two female, and two male parents. There are these "extremists" or "militants" on both sides of this argument, and my answer is ... Live and Let Live

But LGBTQ people in rural communities appears to concern those communities:...
How do we know these groups are not funded by American brainwashing money too? Farmers are not gay for your information. I realise not a lot of farming goes on in London, so just in case you were wondering. How do we know you've not been brainwashed by a US hard-core anti-gay movement that's raised millions of dollars to support its conservative Christian, biblical sense of human sexuality...?

I can't answer for the others in the "we", but for you, you have no idea about me, judging on your wrong views on this forum as to who and what you think I am. So the chances of you not knowing, even when you are told, are high.

My motivation is to preserve the quality aspects of the place I live in. Christianity is strong in the countryside, and especially in our area where we actually had a saint live here once who helped to found the British constitution some 1000 years ago. So we do not want some American wankers to tell us what's what. This is being done by force of grant funding in a charity money laundering network. All tax free you understand.

Motivation, or another obsession...? Who said obsession? You are starting to imagine stuff.
This is the truth. I was simply scanning through the local What's On guide and each week I see these cunts do their stuff in our town. They appear to have become a regular event at a particular restaurant which is one which did this after changing hands. I did some research on some other people as well and found links to LGBT pressure groups, and well basically investigated it, so I now know for certain. I think it is better than starting a thread on something you know jack shit about, although this is often the case on here.

I don't think it's true to say that the US are trying to destroy the church and the family. If anything, the religious right is enjoying a surge in the US and has become a very powerful lobby. A majority of the justices in the Supreme Court are religious, and last year overturned women's legal right to abortion which had been available to American women for fifty years. At the state level, the religious right has a lot of influence, as a result of which books are being banned in schools and teachers are being fired for allowing students to read or watch material that doesn't meet with the approval of the religious right. Religion is still tax exempt in the US, which is how churches can amass wealth tax free without distributing it to the philanthropic/humanitarian causes for which they gained tax exempt status. Take the Mormon church, for example, which has amassed wealth from tithing between $100-150 Billion in this way, and the government is doing nothing to rein in this kind of fraud. Homosexuality is not contagious. No-one can turn anyone gay who doesn't already have that predisposition.

That is a bit of a leap don't you think. Why would anyone in a village decide to declare themselves as gay, least of all to BvL. It would appear to signify nothing. Its not a matter of "declaring themselves to be gay" Its a matter of someone / anyone been either reluctant or fearfull of been who they really are If for example a gay male or female couple live in a village in Englands green Shires, they should be accepted and treated the same as any other resident, or if a single gay person lived in a rural setting, he or she should be able to say that they are gay if topics of relationships happen to crop up, without fear. Probably better not to do this around England’s Green shires “The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence (SPI), also called Order of Perpetual Indulgence (OPI), is a charity, protest, and street performance organization that uses drag and religious imagery to call attention to sexual intolerance and satirizes issues of gender and morality. Upon their move to San Francisco from Iowa City in 1979, a small group of gay men in San Francisco began wearing the attire of nuns in visible situations using camp to draw attention to social conflicts and problems in the Castro District.”

Yes i take your point about the religious right and I myself have been following it and agree with what you say. Abortion is a big one, but recently they are becoming anti-woke too. This group started back in the 70s when the soviet union was still around. Marxism is an atheist movement, but in fact this comes from a variety of beginnings, and even Germany features in its history. It is strongly connected to academia, which tends to be left-wing. These woke not for profit organisations are kind of unaccountable. They are international as well. To deal with them is about as tricky as dealing with firms offshoring money for tax avoidance. They have the legal firepower. The religious right in America is a reaction to what they do, and it makes a lot of noise, but feels impotent. They are not the sharpest tools in the box, as are not the farmers in my town. You have PhDers in psychology manipulating simple country folk.

This bullshit about making out critics of gay are gay because they are critics of gay is the illogical shit they all respond with. I've had it levelled at me for years. It goes to show how fucked their brains are, that none can think up anything original. It's monkey see monkey do all the way, including this bunch of monkeys.
