Is this thread REALLY degenerating into "which party contains more paedophiles?" I'm pretty sure they exist in all walks of life, and in EVERY political stripe. Oh, that's okay then. We shouldn't discuss paedophiles among one political party because you're pretty sure they exist in others too.

It seems to be a cross-party thing. After all, you don't get much more 'institutional' than having a paedophile advising the government on child sexual exploitation.www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/boris-johnson-imran-ahmad-khan-b2066588.html Boris Johnson refuses to criticise paedophile Tory MP’s place on sex abuse panel Imran Ahmad Khan was convicted of sexually assaulting a 15 year-old boy and says he will appeal Boris Johnson has declined to apologise after it emerged that a Tory MP who molested a 15 year-old boy was advising the government on child sexual exploitation.
Imran Ahmad Khan, the then Conservative MP for Wakefield, was sitting on a Home Office-backed expert panel in December 2020, a year after his victim says he had complained to the Conservative party.
Khan was expelled from the Conservatives after his conviction this year and his Wakefield constituency will get a new MP at by-election.
At prime minister’s question on Wednesday Jeff Smith, the Labour MP for Manchester Withington said: “Last night we learned that the Home Secretary put the member for Wakefield on an expert panel offering advice on sexual exploitation.
“At the time he was under a police investigation following allegations he assaulted a minor, for which he has since been found guilty.

The Labour Party has so many kiddy fiddlers. No wonder their members used to campaign for paedo "rights". Sorry, but this is an utterly ridiculous statement, and offensive in my view, it lowers the boards to Gutter Politics status. There are in society, good people and bad people, in all walks of life, in every age group, rich and poor, and in all political parties. There have been Paedophiles and sex offenders in the Conservative Party and in the Labour Party, and in all political parties. Trying to make political gain from such is not a good idea.

Apt username given the context. "Sidfiddler". Played by the late Mr James in either (so far as I can recall) "Carry on Loving" or "Carry on Girls". My knowledge of cinema is both encyclopedic and entirely pointless.

It crosses both parties though comes into the news at different times giving political pundits the chance to score points over each other.
I think some of those allegations against some in the past failed because of potential reputation damage to the UK PLC.

Skynet mark 1 but with more of a Landru outcome by the sounds

Nonces have rights. The right to be arrested and put in handcuffs, the right to a cell, the right to 3 meals a day and unfortunately protection from the other prisoners.

I am a parent and would be first in the queue. To increase punishments would limit offenders, especially if the punishments were public, no one likes that. Abusing minors is physical, punishments should be simpatico, like birching, mutilation, semi drowning. Scholes started his tv career in childrens tv. Most paedos work with children, like schools etc, employers should be trained to spot them.
Labour by definition is liberal, anything goes, not so in my world, we need a proper conservative party.

Sad to say they are in all walks of life and occupations , or living off the taxpayers, of different ethnicities', religious beliefs, follow no faith at all, both male and female and some that are not sure what they are, some medical experts state it is a Mental Illness

Trying to interrupt a load of politically motivated nonsense rants with such obvious facts as paedos hide out everywhere and in all parties and organisations. You'll never ever get to be a Daily Mail letter writer at this rate. You won't even get a "like" by Jokesy

Sadly research with a view to a cure rather than humouring them / punishing them is unlikely.
