We're not joining the BRICs countries Baron. Not without major democratic change in those countries.

I've not heard any reports of the Chinese de-listing from London. There was only one report on this and it was from China saying the LSE was the choice of stock exchange for China's largest corporations. I understand it was Biden who wanted Nord Stream blown up. The people around him are as evil as he is. Most of them are brainwashed. The fact is the non-Western world's trust in America is rock bottom. It's why they are forming the BRICS alliance, which so far has countries that support it at over half the world's population and a greater combined GDP than the G7.
By the way, the EU has about 15% of world GDP. We as a country must pay close attention to the other 85%. I think personally our goal should be fishing for business in East Asia. It will be the world's richest area in the future. At the moment we are a slave to American diktat. This has to stop or we will never be fully trusted. I'm also for a close business alliance with the EU. I think the EU is wise enough to understand we only wanted to break form the political alliance. We don't hate them or anything, just prefer a different political direction. Here's one: www.scmp.com/business/banking-finance/article/3194648/chinas-sinopec-set-delist-london-stock-exchange-just-monthThe US seems to be involved "somehow" in every major war and destruction, from the Spanish-American war to Iraq to Libya to Syria to Palestine to the Russia-Ukraine conflict. Now, there is a conspiracy theory that the US instigated the Nord Stream explosion. It might be true but I still wouldn't call the US evil, in any case. That term is owned exclusively by a certain Adolf H and his gang. "Slave" is a bit too strong but I get it that the UK had to, have to and will always have to compromise slightly on rule taking. If it is not the EU, then it's the US. Or, potentially, China via the CPTPP. That's what we have become after the British Empire. The UK has to be part of a major alliance in which it is not always the rule maker; otherwise, we're just going to end up as what we really are -- this ex-over-achieving island with the bad weather. I, too, am for a close alliance with the EU. And that's even at the expense of a closer relationship with the US or with the Pacific. The question, though, is how close are you prepared to get until the delusions of power and grandeur take over again? I think the report you link to is pretty matter of fact. Two reasons: one we are not our own boss so the US could order us to do something at any time, jut look at what Hikvision is going through or Tiktok, and the other is the complexity of the rules and general bureaucracy, always working with a gun to your head effectively. Corporations like that in China get an easy ride. Everyone likes and respects them and values them too. It's all much like a happy family, but then they enter the UK and feel there is trouble everywhere you look. Everyone is on strike for one thing. Striking in China or anywhere around that part of the world is virtually unheard of.
Oh well another opportunity burnt. What should have happened is now we are out of the EU these firms could have come over and brought their highly efficient practices with them which would have inspired and invigorated the UK workforce. This is how successful societies work - they take the great ideas from all around them and enjoy hearing different points of view. Our official line is simply hostile. I guess if I were them I would have gone and listed in Hong Kong instead. It's the kind of place you can build a corporation fast. Wealth is slipping from our fingers via our own idiocy. None of the UK parties are friendly towards China. Meanwhile Europe is lately moving in that direction and sticking two fingers up at Biden. I was hearing what some technologists in the chip industry were saying last night. They feel they would like to work with Germany. Recent moves on the political front in Germany has given greater confidence. UK is a crazy country.
